Hi Guys Still asking for help with this one I have a steering wheel and column out of wrecked PR91 GT. It appears to have the same inner shaft length but different outer column as per photo The longer outer column below the mounting flange is the GT, the shorter one is out of a '68 PR20 ( from St Marys that GT Orphanage found) When I tried to fit the GT to my 66 1/2 PR20 it wouldn't fit unless I lowered the indicator assemble but no way would the shroud fit below the wheel. If u actually look at the GT wheel it is thicker below the actual spokes of the wheel than the standard wheel. Can anyone please she's some light on this for me Thanks J

It will depend on the mix n match the 68 shaft will most likely have Gemini spline so will a strip tail gt if the horn button is red on the gt steering wheel the spline should fit to the earlier shafts if it has a soft black centre it will fit the 68.

Hi The wheel has a red centre and is off a square tail light GT It fits my white 66 1/2 PR20 but I can't seem to find a shroud that fits either GT or 4 door Scratching my head J

can you slide it further down the shaft as the stalk and shroud are only clamped. there is a dimple for the stalk from memory but it should work.

Hi G I slide the indicator assembly down so no problem there It's the damn shroud Unless I am having a 'Matt Damon' moment there isn't a way to fit either the GT or 4 Door a Shrouds over the moved indicator assembly as the column bolts up under the dash I must be missing something so simple but I can't see why???? some have a flat edge at the back that goes between the outer tube and the crash pad tapered at the back on the top half.

On closer inspection I think it because the GT column mount is further down the shaft than the PR20 Bugga J

Possibly a really stupid question as I have absolutely no idea. But would it be possible to fit the whole GT column and shaft and then the wheel? Or are the mounts to dash? Etc in totally wrong places? I guess you would have already tried the options?

Good question This is why I put one next to the other It appears the columns do indeed mount at different points under the dash so 'Computer says noooooo' I tried after I saw Bullitt's PR20 Must of had some voodoo magic way

The GT mount is longer to set the wheel lower. This is coz the seats are lower in a GT coz the roof is lower. The plate that mounts to the firewall is also at a different angle as well.
