Just had my carbies tuned and the car is running sweet, Out of curiosity I had Rufus run up on the dyno after the engine rebuild (plus 600km). Interesting that he made 98.4hp@4900rpm. Seperate test to 5200rpm 170kph showed a level off. It only has a mild cam 1/8" bigger extractors and a bit of porting. Carbies are too small to achieve any more power. Not bad considering manufacturer's specs show 91horses at the flywheel 8- Good flat torque graph too, higher than manufacturers rating.

Yeah Geoff, considering a manual transmission car typically loses 16% of its flywheel horsepower that means my engine is producing 133 net HP at the flywheel, whopping 45 more HP than standard G161. Greg, I am running std profile 13" wheels. How did Mildred's 1st big drive go today? I have been installing my new quarter window rubber seals today.... Bit tedious, and I discovered why the LHS was siliconed shut... The top pivot spot weld is broken off. ![]() to be siliconed shut again ![]() Cheers, Lewis |
