What are the exterior dimensions of the original battery? I'm looking at gel cells and would like to match what is supposed to fit correctly. I need a smaller battery for the FF car to allow space for the intake pipe to go into the fender well, and it would be a shame to find something that could be used in the old car too. It looks like a choice between a huge truck battery and a motorcycle battery, without much between the two extremes. |

I measured the battery tray: 9 1/2 inches by 5 1/2 inches. I'll have trouble rationalizing the motorcycle battery I was eying. Might have to wait for next season. Nothing from Odyssey comes close in size without being small. Only the smallest Optima looks like a good fit, but still to big to clear the intake pipe in the other car. |
