Yeah, thats a bit sad. Typical though, local product dealers loved to dump on Japanese cars back in the day. I suppose they could see how well built and equiped they were compared to stuff they were flogging.
And now you can buy an MU-X and Falcons are extinct. :P
And Toyota is the top selling brand month after month. ;)
Which makes new Bellett buyers early adapters of the superior product. :D

This is an old newspaper ad from 1978 that I came across in some stuff almost 2 years ago and posted it elsewhere.....
Obviously since then its been shared far and wide with everyone thinking they've discovered something new.

BIG difference between a $500 Bomb in 1978 and now.
People would be clammering to get it now for $500 :lol:
