I know it’s only June, but it’s time for me to start pestering you for pictures for next year’s calendar (I’m assuming from the positive response I got last year that there will be a demand for it).

For those new to the forum, I do this using pictures contributed by various Bellett/Isuzu owners, and the calendar is printed by Lulu publishing in the USA - the benefit of using Lulu is that they will print any number of calendars from one upwards, so there is no need to print hundreds and try to sell them.

The calendar itself is A4 size, spiral bound, full colour, page per month, drilled to hang on a wall and printed on good quality paper. Cost last year was under $20 per copy landed in Australia - this includes NO profit for me, I do it for fun and for my mates (and because I like collecting car pixs). This is a link to the pix I used in the 2011 calendar.

Last year we had Belletts and Wasps. I was thinking it would be nice to have a Florian this year as well; maybe even a Bellel if someone had a decent picture. So, anytime you like you can start sending me pix. I have a couple already and the promise of some more. I will need 13 altogether, (1 for the cover) in digital format and of fairly good resolution for printing (over about 4 megapixels will work OK). I have Photoshop and can adjust images. Technically, for copyright purposes, you should own the pic. Send pix directly to me at

vichughes165@gmail.com

Cheers, Vic

Thanks Mr F.

I'll tell you what, if you can find me suitable pics of 13 different Florians, I'll do you a special 1-off calendar. As it might take you a while, we could schedule it for 2017, 50th anniversary of the Florian :D :D :D

Cheers, Vic

Always glad to oblige :D

Speaking of variety (as Brett did), all new members and members with new cars should think about sending me a pic of their pride and joy. Preference given to cars which have not appeared before.

Cheers, Vic

I'm Back.......... and hungry for Pics

I haven't been active on the forum for a couple of months during which I have been 100% focussed on finishing my PhD Thesis. It's almost done now so I'm back, and 1st on my agenda is to get some pics for the 2012 calendar.

Some of you have sent me pics already - many thanks. Some have promised me pics - time to come good with them :D But I still need many more. Remember guys and gals, this is your calendar, I can't do it without your pics. Only two rules - you must 'own' the pics (nothing downloaded from the internet) and they must be reasonable resolution to print well - over about 4 megapixels, so most digital camera pics are OK but mobile phone ones are less likely to be useful.

I'd really like some different cars to last years selection and I think it would nice to include a Florian and perhaps a 117 as well as Bellett's of any kind and Wasps.

Send them to me at vichughes165@gmail.com I'm ready and waiting

Cheers, Vic

Lizzie,

Wasps are welcome in the Bellett calendar, we had some last year. In fact the way things are at the moment, we'll need them to make up the numbers. I'd also like to see a Florian and a 117. So far I only have a few pics. C'mon guys and gals, don't be shy. I can't do this without your pics. And I need them as soon as possible, before the end of October, so you can have the calendar in time for Christmas. Your car doesn't have to be immaculate, just interesting (I'm probably putting the 'barn find Hillman' pic in next years Hillman calendar).

Cheers, Vic

You've got to have one of the racing pics from: http://www.bellett.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1532

Good idea.

However I can't use them straight from the forum website, the resolution is too low to print well, regardless of how good they look on the screen. I'll need someone to send them to me - preferably as they came out of the digital camera. I have Photoshop to tidy them up.

email is vichughes165@gmail.com

Cheers, Vic

Hi Vic, Some great pics coming in I see  . I was wondering if you could use this one as some sort of back drop, cut it , chop it, wallpaper etc. Leave it up to you if you can use it some way or another.

It's pretty low pixle but I can send you the file for your capable manipulation if you like.

Cheers, B 8-)

Fair point on quality. Gav, Dave and Brett have the full quality versions of all the pics. I liked the below one myself:

http://i451.photobucket.com/albums/qq233/65bellett/John%20Mott%20Sprint%20Photos/29d41f23.jpg

However there were a heap taken. I'll forward a few through as well if I can dig them up off the camera from the day!

Good work again Vic, much appreciated that you've taken the calendar mantle once again :)

Cheers,
R
