I just engaged in a bit of a petty squabble with a girl who said her 2004-ish Corolla was pretty narrow. I though her car had NOTHING on a Bellett's narrowness... ... and I was right! The 2004 Corolla is a good 20cm wider than a Bellett, as is the case with many 1960s small cars vs modern small cars. So to get a 2004 Corolla width, I punched it into Google and it came up with the Wikipedia page being about the best match. No surprises there. Then, as all Belletts are pretty much the same width (unlike Corollas, that have gone through multiple generations over 40 years), I typed in... "Bellett width" Blow me down, I didn't just get some pages..... I got a Google-style answer! The same sort of answer you get when you type in "what is $1.00 is USD" or "What is 22cm in inches?". It's an answer that is supplied by Google itself, above the websites supplied. Hmm, perhaps a picture would explain it best... Attachment: Bellett width Google answer.jpg [ 108.6 KiB | Viewed 5656 times ] Granted, it was "best guess for a Bellett width"... but yeah, so there you go... As gleaned off the web by Google itself! I was surprised... |

http://www.isuzuperformance.com/isupage ... belgt.html Quote: Width 58.86 in / 1495 mm But specific to GT and GT-R. Also, consider overall width includes side view mirrors, and 1960's Japanese home market cars had fender mounted mirrors which do not stick out six or more inches on each side. Track width might be more revealing, but also varied for all of the sport packages and different wheel and tire sizes. |
