With great sadness I inform the Bellett world of the passing of our great friend, Mr Arnold "Ike" Treloar on Thursday July 7, 2016. Of course Ike needs no introduction to Bellett enthusiasts. He raced and rallied Belletts when they were new usually under the alias of Arthur Treloar so his mum wouldn't know it was him. He debuted the Bellett at Bathurst in 1965 with none other than Colin Bond, and they returned in 1966 with a Bellett once again. Both times they finished 30th outright. Ike also was our very special guest at the 2009 Bellett Nationals in Adelaide, and while we found him to be a genuinely nice bloke and full of laughs, he also was thrilled to be involved once again with the cars he enjoyed many years earlier and all of us who own them today. Please join with me in passing our heart condolences onto Ike's family and friends at this saddest of times. Mr Treloar's funeral will be held at Mattise Funerals, Para Vista, this coming Thursday July 14 @ 11am. R.I.P.

My condolences to the family. I only met him the once, and it just happened to be the very first Bellett function I had gone to which was the 2009 Nats. I remember he was quite a character and had some great stories. If it is not a family only Funeral, I will go and pay may respects (along with any other SA guys) to a Bellett Legend on behalf of the Bellett community.

I pulled out the Wasp and attended the funeral today of Arnold "Ike" Treloar It was good to be able to pay respects to a legend and genuine great guy. There were quite a few there from his Rallying days as well. Also found out he served in the army just after WW2 and did a stint as a police officer.

Thanks Josh for going along and representing the Bellett community. I well remember his sharing at the nationals in 2009 and enjoyed his stories. He was a really nice bloke, and generous of his time for us then. Glad that he passed away peacefully, thats what we can all hope for. Thanks, Matt.
