I was thinking during the resto i have boxes and packets of bits purchased during the resto i was intending on keeping a log of these bits and where they were obtained. If you guys are interested i can list it here and it will help others as well if this list has other peoples input will make it easy for other people to maintain or restore. Most of my input will be gt and later wasp.
If people are interested is this section where you want it? Mabe some format to list it?

great idea there gt orphan.

from a mods point of view, my suggestion is to post it in this section (parts), under a new thread title explaining what the thread is about (like the filter thread is), and i'll 'sticky' it so it stays at the top of the parts page for easier reference and location by all.

i'm in the similar position as yourself with bellett and wasp parts (although the memory will get a work out with the wasp, as it was 16 years ago!), from the resto's of all 3 of my cars, so a listing complied together, with input from other users as well, will be very useful indeed.

cheers.
brett.

I have a sample back window rubber at phills and have some being made. His company is happy to reproduce any parts we require but we need to order a reasonable quantity.Otherwise in the past we have paid to have the tooling made.
As an example i am thinking of getting the number plate lenses made as every car needs 2 and out of my wrecks i dont have any to rave about.

I have no loyalities to this company its a interesting shop with nick naks that some are suitable for belletts and he is prepared to source parts.

I just found this thread and it is totally awesome.

This is exactly what this site should be about! Making sure there's a reference of available parts to keep these machines on the road!

Many thanks to GT Orphanage and JT191 for throwing up some info!

The best in the buisness & the cheapest. (usually that would be a contradiction)

Is there a cross reference for these (what other vehicles these boots fit)?
Or a Repco dealer that sells internationally?

Roadsafe do a range of tie rod end and ball joint boots, not sure on the quality but its another option. if you tell me the sizes of the top and bottom holes i can give you part numbers.

OK, I had expected these were tried and tested and found to fit and last.
It looks like I should measure and track down something with Mr. Flibbles.

The bellows look comically over sized and unlike anything modern. The urethane universal fit are so small they couldn't fit well if they did seal.

No chance new ball joints could be found I suppose...

i have a rack at work and was trying to find the correct looking style boots for them, and some for the ball joints. I might give the local repco a ring and see if they can tell me the sizes of there boots, than i can at least give you guys an alternative roadsafe part number.
havent found any listing for the ball joints yet, but there are places around that can rebuild the ball joints for you. I had some done by a guy with the name of Quinn down richmond area in SA, cost a bit but these were for an old early model Scat and we couldnt source them anywhere.

Sorry jt191 none of the parts above i have recomended. It is only a log of parts used on our resto projects that is open for public reference and for others to add to also[as you have in the past].It would take me twenty years to be able to personaly recomend these parts as my gt that goes has only done aprox 1000kms in 12 months.I would recomend anyone wanting to use any of these products to do your own research on quality/warrenty and purchase and use at there own risk.I would recomend any modification to these parts be researched before doing so.
