Keep in touch, met you at Adelaide B to B.
Mudgee to Coona about 2 1/2 hours cruising.
Hopefully going over to Bathurst this weekend, take some photos of my GT on the track, will post when I get back if I go, depending on weather I won't go if the weather is no good. Previous owner of my car would like photo of the GT on the track.

for those that haven't been to the 'track' at bathurst, just remember that speed limits around there are strictly enforced.

Yes Guys, Brett is correct, however no one there over the weekend just gone. Preparations have begun for October, what a fantastic place!! If ever there is one Race I do my best to never miss out on, IT IS BATHURST!!

We had a beautiful day, AT LAST, a really enjoyable day, pleasant drive. tuned the carbies on Sat before leaving, boy what a difference in economy! While others spent time at the petrol pumps I covered the round trip on one tank of juice with just under 1/4 of a tank left, car ran beautifully.

Take a peek at these, hopefully enjoy!!!

Thank you Rod and Redback, yes it is in great condition, I do my best after a lot of work put into the car by Glenn Percy, the man I bought it from just over 5 years ago, to keep it that way!! :)
When not on display or at a Car Club Event, it sits in my garage washed, dried out and ready for the next event under a cover! :?
Glenn did a great job bringing the car back to glory!! :P
Thanks again Guys, D.

Glenn Percy - yes I have had dealings with him - he was very, very helpful in the beginning when I was after information etc on rebuilding my engine and sourcing parts - never met him though - this was all through emails.

Cheers

*moderator edit*

hi guys.
is no prob, but ive just moved all of the conversation about travelling to the nationals from the "judging guidelines" thread.
i feel we should use the "guidelines" thread as just that.... information to bellett owners about the judging, and all the conversations about travelling to the nationals and the associated posts should be in their own thread.
as i wrote, is no prob at all, just thought it needed to be done.

cheers, and see u all there.
brett.

btw, who's taking what cars along?
interested to know if there's anything new, or un-seen for a while at least.
me.... i'm just taking the race car. as most would know, i always took all 3 to corowa (GT, Wasp and racer). adelaide saw just the GT due to the distance to travel, and coona is even further!
everyone knows my Wasp, the GT went last year, and even tho some know my race car, most would never have seen a bellett that is as modified it is, so i thought it would get the gig this year.

so, what about everyone else?

Hi everyone, We will probably come in Black Betty this year as Doris has been to the last 3 Nats. She's not mint or anything, but she is the only factory black that I know of & is going really well now I've got the right jets in the carby. I've done over 4000 mile in her since going back on the road in February with almost daily use. Being a small school, we don't have an excursion bus, so parents drive the kids on outings. The kids like going in the Bellett, I guess because it's more their scale than the cars they're used to going in. They can see out easily, and can have the windows down & laugh at each other's manic hair. We seem to be 100k's from anywhere, so this clocks up the miles.
All this to say I suppose she deserves to visit the other Belletts.
Looking very forward to seeing you all again, & meeting new friends. It will be good to put some faces to names.
Cheers, Matt & Tracy, Rhys & Milli.

Perhaps Dave. Only thing is we can't leave 'till after school Friday. We don't want to miss anything Saturday, so will travel up Friday night. If we get away around 4.30 we could be in Wellington about 7.30 - 8.00. (Our best run is Cowra, Canowindra, Cudal, Molong, Dubbo, Coona)
Total trip is about 5 1/2 hours. I'll talk to the brothers.
Via Wellington might be the long way round for you though?
Cheers mate,
Matt.

Yeh, understand, it would have been good to travel together, however I think we might be well gone by that time, the brothers Smith and Rod from Tassie I think will be leaving AM sometime.
You had better keep your eyes open for Wooly Jumpers and Wombats travelling at that time??

I am sure the kids wouldn't mind you taking them out earlier? (LOL).
Should be a great weekend, more from QLD going this year also.
