The topic heading is a little long winded I know but when your on another epoch road trippin' journey with the extended family, there is no cutting the corners.......... unless of course your name is Mr Orphanage then you can cut as many corners as you want (pics 3 & 4 are evidence enough of that ) Anyways lets get this picture party started (not that I have many to show yet) The road tripping for me started yesterday, albeit just a 15min drive down the road from my place to Greg and Lizzies. After a catch up, a feed and a good night sleep it was time to hit the road and head south. We are the only ones so far but Occa and Trish will catch us up at Yamba tomorrow and we will meet up with Dave down at the Gricey's The last of the essentials being packed into Ol' Yella before blast off Attachment:

We never cut corners when it comes our road trippin'..... unless unless of course we're cutting corners Attachment:

Travelling safely so far but the same can't be said for other unfortunate travelers. We were held up on the highway today for about an hour and a half just north of Macksville due to an accident and we passed another just north of Raymond Terrace this afternoon also (on the other side of the highway this time) The constabulary have been out in force too will multiple cars being pulled over by the flashing red and blues...... SPEED ON BROTHER, HELL AIN'T FULL YET ....but here are some more family friendly pics of us wondering our way south to Albury Here we are stuck in traffic Attachment:

Tomorrow we are intending to go check out a car museum/collection at Gosford and from there we might head down through Sydney, taking in the Royal National Park and then head towards Goulburn ??...... but why stop there? We might even head further south and go through Cooma and cross the Snowys?? or even go further down towards Melbourne to Moe then cut back up north through the Alpine region to Albury that way???? So many options and we still have at least 3 days of cruisin' to fill before getting to Albury..... before getting to Mudgee...... before have to go home but we're not going to think about that part of the road trip yet.

Just out of the Sydney tunnels ol yella's gauges dropped at a set of lights within minutes the cough and splutters started as we found a side st. Expecting to find a blown fuse they all looked fine a wriggle didn't fix it either. A test light showed a fuse only to find the end was no longer connected. A new fuse we were on our way.

Another day, and much adventure was had by all........ although the drive through Sydney left much to the be desired ....but once we were out of the tunnels and on the other side we B-lined the Royal National Park, and all was right in the road trippin' world once again. Thank goodness we made it through that hell hole in one piece (no offence meant to anyone that lives there...... ya freaks ) Oh yeah, BEFORE we drove through S***ney we stopped at the car museum at Gosford Man what a collection of cars that is. The thing I loved the most about it was the fact that a lot of the cars there are the ones you would never consider "collectible" like a Lada Niva.... or an FJ40 Landcruiser..... or 3 Leyland P76's There was even a "Communist Collection" of Soviet built cars. I could post a few pics of my favorite cars but here but that would only just spoil it for those who haven't yet, but intend to go there But here are a few more of our road trippin' picks of today's adventures ....but watch out for those speed camera's Attachment:

Great pics and a great story. Thanks for showing us, I almost feel like I'm along for the ride. There is a degree of envy! Went for a shakedown run in Dobby today, to a mates place to source a fuel filler neck. It revealed a leaky waterpump and gearbox rear seal. Rang Autopro and they will have a pump for me tomorrow! Fantastic! And the seal I should be able to match at bearing services. All good fun. Please keep the pics coming Stickman. Matt.

I wish everyone could be road tripping with us, but not everyone can handle our style of road tripping either. We have no schedule or planned direction of travel or even designated stops for each night. When we do reach a destination it is then pot luck as to whether or not we can find enough rooms. Fortunately we're a pretty close bunch so we usually share rooms with each other Case in point..... last night we stayed at Kiama with the intention of heading toward the Victorian border, somewhere around the Bega area - unless we turn right at Albuquerque........ and guess what?? Today we turned right at Albuquerque (Batemans Bay actually) and crossed the range so tonight we are actually in Queanbeyan Tomorrow will likely have a wreckers stop and stroll at Cooma before then crossing the Snowy Mountains and heading for Albury. Some pics from today's journey Attachment:

Well dinner is done and as per usual we have possibly changed our minds as to tomorrows proceedings. We may not bother with a walk through the Cooma wreckers and might just cruise the beautiful countryside instead..... but nobody really knows what will have happened until we have done it. Anyways here are a few more pics from today, picking back up from where I left off........ turning right at Albuquerque I even managed to capture and freeze in time the moment that decision to turn right occurred Attachment:

First stop was Flynn's wreckers at Cooma for a walk through wonderland. What an amazing place, over 4000 cars from the 1920's to 2016 and YES everything is for sale There are 6 very sad little Bellett sedans there too. with some good parts still there if you're prepared to pay a good price I has become somewhat of a tourist attraction so there is also a covercharge to have a look around. BEST $10 you'll very spend at wreckers.......... I want to camp there overnight in my swag one day Attachment:

Through Cabramurra mate. That is a beautiful drive. Tracy and I went that way a short while back with a trailer in tow to retrieve a Florian, very scenic. Thanks for the pics. Stay safe and have fun, and Happy Birthday Gricey! Matt.

Yeah it's a great drive through there but I don't envy pulling a trailer through there though even if it is to collect a Florian. We got to the Grice's on Friday night about 7pm but here are a few more pics from Fridays run down the mountains from Cabramurra. Attachment:

May not be anymore pics until Monday or Tuesday evening depending if we do some runs from Gricey's on Monday. But there we be more installments from Albury to Mudgee then over the course of the Nationals for all of those unable to attend.
