I can't say if it was taken recently or back in the day, although it looks kinda in the day.

It was posted by user "Mustang Koji" and the English information states:

"My Aunt Eiko with Mt. Fuji in the background. My guess is this is a 1966 Isuzu Bellett 1500 Deluxe. Its my assumption but my soon-to-be Uncle Paul took this photo."

The Japanese is not so... easy to work out.

User Triple_Crown says (translated by Google Translate)
It has taken the beautiful Mount Fuji.
Popularity came out a color film in Japan in the 1960s, because it is very expensive compared to black and white, I did not work for the simple Ri bitch.
I think I also let's all Isuzu this car. Isuzu is exported to Canada this car, but it was useless.
Many automobile manufacturers in Japan, I was challenged in passenger cars these days.

Mustang Koji has responded... again this is a terrible translation.

Thank you for your comment. We are thinking that you can only know The word "wisdom", but the knowledge base of Triple-Cro wn's's amazing.

I was studying in Japan of Toyota driving school school was located in Hachioji in 1974 at age 28, but had been working in the repair shop of the person who was in the loss until that time. Where they had been overhaul of V8 engines in the United States, but was laughed at by everyone if you come into car production in Japan. It has become as opposed to now.

I find the story of color film. It is going to Japan for the summer vacation of 1966, I had bought Half-frame camera Aunt Eiko 35mm say DemiS Canon. I have used Fuji film full color. I would be angry :) grandpa.

So that doesn't really clear much up, except that colour film was expensive and that the photo was probably taken in 1967ish. Great photo though! Yay!

Neat photo Dave!
I have never seen a Bellett with a two tone paint job before.
It even has side window rain guards. Might have been a factory Limited Edition 1500 Sport model :)
Glen, did you find out what paint and upholstery options your sport model
was put out with?

About all I know is that the colour appears original but I don't know the actual colour but assume it's mews white. Upholstery is all original, black with blue carpets.
