Hi Kiddies! Thought I'd better this forum off with a bang! A few people have asked us for a forum section for random cars, so here it is! We've all seen them on the 'net and we've all seen them on the street. First is this one I found on Eagle Sayama today. It's pretty funny, I'm sure you'll agree. Not one for the purist at any rate! What's with the monsterous drift wing? I like it. But then again I like all Belletts! I don't like it enough to own it, that's for sure! Cheers, Dave |

Hey Dave, What you failed to deduce is that this is in fact the world's only Bellett modified to fly like a plane... just look at the windscreen treatment - definately says cockpit to me buddy. Indeed in the last photo the pilot has bailed just prior to takeoff (perhaps to go and answer his batphone??? We should all start lobbying to get a Bellett cast as the next Batmobile). And check out that elaborate afterburner switchgear on top of the dash. Mind you the after-market aircon wouldn't help getting this caboose off the tarmac - that's half the vehicle's weight smack bang under the glovebox. Oh, and they've forgotten to glue the main wings on. |

I didn't notice the air con. That's a monster! Quick get the batfone! Tell Commissioner Gordon-san that the Godzilla of air cons has attacked this Bellett! |

Actually, the exterior and interior pictures appear to be of two different cars. In the rear view showing the wing, you can look through the back window, and the windshield does not have the paint or stickers that make it look like a plane. I wasn't positive until dave pointed out the air conditioning, which is also absent from the view through the back window. Also, the gauge panel looks very green in the interior shot, and the steering wheel is aluminum or metal colored. But view through the back window has a black steering wheel and the dash panel and glove box don't really look green. |

Sorry to disappoint guys, but I gotta say it is the same car. Have a look below... Attachment: bellett 1600 sport with drift wing - eagle sayama - proof.jpg [ 133.3 KiB | Viewed 11695 times ] 1. I can make out the top right corner of the monstrous aircon unit just past the front passenger seat back-rest. Nothing usually there under the glovebox in most Belletts (apart from the odd parcel shelf lower down that I've seen in some GTs). 2. I can clearly see the after-market CD player through the back window. Not that you'd be able to hear much Pink when the afterburner switch gets the thumb. 3. the windscreen wipers sit abnormally high at rest. You can see them at the same rest position in 3 of the images (obviously not the profile shot). There's a couple more give aways, but my eyes are going square. I agree the weird windscreen treatment (whatever it is) is not present in 2 out of 4 pictures, but who knows what's going on with this very creative Bellett. Let's have a vote! Cheers. |

Hey guys, just want drop in with a couple of obsevations, the first photo is different to me in that the side portion of the wing is squared off vs pointed as the other photos. also it lacks the antenna thingy on the top of car near the screen as you can see in the other pics. I was wondering if we are seeing photographs of stages of modification ? whats making my eyes bleed is trying to see that chrome steering wheel in the interior photo that JT mentioned being black, it looks black to me but, these old eyes getting tired of studying these pictures ... right now anyway too close to call for me if it's the same Bellett, have fun you all ...... See ya Mark |

You're right about the rear wing, yet the support arms look the same... so yeah perhaps they are from various stages in it's life, at least to some extent. I can't suss out if that's an antenna or a reflection of something in the background... While I didn't put these pics up to start a debate as to whether they were the same car (they were all in the one batch on the website so I just took it that they were), as long as people are using the forum and checking it out and keeping it alive and keeping people talking, then I'm happy! |

Yep, interesting observations by all. Who would have though the "wierd winged jobby" could stimulate so much debate. But !! Has anyone noticed the reflection of the steering wheel on the dark part of the "cockpit" window frame.....puzzling. Might be a clue to how this effect was achieved. Any ideas ? B. |
