Hi people,

While this section is still shiny and new, I thought I'd post up another pic.

This is a pic I've had on the old hard drive for a while. It shows one of the very rare Bellett GT Fastback models that were built in limited numbers in about 1969, I think. This one has the long bonnet and the wipers set close together, which they'd ditched by about 1970.

I heard they were all white, however this one clearly isn't, although that's not to say it hasn't copped a respray at some stage.

Just when you thought you'd seen it all...

Again, hats off to you guys. Dave...you've done it again. Anyhow... is it permissable to comment on this forum ? Is that a ridgy didge fast back or are they having us on  It almost smacks of welding an early mazda coupe rear onto an Isuzu front. Not the lines we are used to seeing.....rather puzzling :?

Yeah dude they were factory built and I'm sure there's a massive story that goes with them.

There is a picture of one in a brochure I've got - actually I've got two copies of the same brochure, one in Dutch and one in Japanese so that doesn't help, plus brochures never actually give us the full story...

I did interpret from one website that they didn't sell many as they weren't very attractive...

This one lives at takeeys $12500 will see it sold it was white, this might clarify they are all white who knows :?:
Dutch is interesting did you get them in Holland Dick ?
I looked hard at this car it would surprise you one day either because you rub it back or it will show itself one day ?
I opened the door and the smell :? my lungs now think I was a smoker for the last ten years.

don't blame you, Orph. from the photos I have seen, its a pretty quick and crappy paint job and full of bog and rust to boot.
can understand your difficulty finding a suitable car to sink your cash into as I reckon the white one with the white bumpers is also a quick tidy up and more plastic than metal.
hope the one you expressed interest in comes good and is an affordable import for you.

would still like one but not a good time for investing in cars for me at moment.

still love to see and bellett estate land on our shores!!! as well.

Nah the guys in Holland didn't get the Fastback; it was just a Japanese brochure they re-hashed and Dutchified!

Quite different to the earlier brochures that are almost all unique between languages!

With emails being a week apart as i am after a quote on on getting it running, battery and some fuel should do it :?: a brake master cyl needed for some brakes. This till save me at least $1000 as it will be drive on drive off. The other factor is that there is a lower risk of damage. Only half the bodywork is interchangeable. I can see wharfy forklifting and pushing it around with no brakes is a cocktail that could be hard to fix. This car has no bumper bars either that are being searched for if not I will make something fit but does not help with the above issue.
With the above said waiting waiting waiting I watch the a$$ fall out of our dollar :x

Reason I ask is that I bought some mirrors off a Lime bug website to connect hot rod style to the door frame because I welded the holes up years ago and cant bring myself to drill them back out!

They look very similar to the Isuzu mirrors but in stainless steel

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/160817038618 ... 1439.l2649

I have not examined a genuine mirror, would anyone comment on how close they are?

For $60 its not a bad replacement

Cheers Flying

Hi flying, those mirrors are very similar to the GT mirrors, but are very weak where the mirror body is attached to the stem. We have had two them fall apart while driving down the road.

Cheers Geoff
