The upside of a 5 hour trip to take Milli to a specialist today (broken collarbone, but will repair without surgery & regain full strength) was a random sighting. "Look Trace, 4 cars ahead - Teardrop Bellett!!"
So what do we do? Follow her of course! "Matthew, you're turning into a private home." No worries!
So I introduce myself, and the young lady tells me "Yeah, Dad bought it new in January 1965. It's been continuously registered & is well known in the local area. I learned to drive in it. I love it 'cause it always goes, if it won't start, I just get out the crankhandle & then it does".
But I didn't have my camera - aaaargh! So to describe, a custard colour bucket seat teardrop, with many years of loving use. Very straight & complete & has had seats & paint re-done about 20 years ago. Only needing new windscreen seals.
So great to see one on the road doing the daily drive - doesn't happen very often anymore!
I told her about Bellett.net of course!
