Although this very special partial-calendar features our models and the beautiful 1964 Deluxe in Hawaii, it is a Japanese domestic market item as all the specs on the back of the calendar are in Japanese. Despite this, there is no Japanese dating system listed on there like there is on some other brochures. I have checked though and the dates displayed for October, November and December correspond with the days and dates of 1964, plus the car is an early build with the black badge on the grille. The texture of this item has caused some scanning issues; the paper has been plasticised and is quite corrugated, resulting in some weird grains in the scan, however it seems to be mostly ok. Overleaf is the entire Isuzu passenger car range, it seems, as at about 1964. Attachment:

Wow, collect the set !! I had no idea there was a standard 1500 coupe, thought they were all GT's. The power ratings between the two are interesting. The 1500 coupe more suited for gran'ma getting around town, shopping or to bowls, but still in syle tho. I seem to remember the owners manual I had for the GT 161 showed more like 95' something at 5400 rpm. Maybe more or less than that, not excactly sure. Is this possible?

B. Yeah man there was a "1500 Coupe" (PR80) which had like a red 'coupe' badge on the side and ran standard Bellett 1500 sedan running gear. This appears to be this version, however there was also a Bellett GT1500 which was also a PR80 and is usually listed as the PR80 GT, which had twin carbies, then of course there was the PR90. These PR80 derivatives were dropped pretty quickly. I don't know how a little player like Isuzu managed to pump out so many versions. Cheers! Dave

Hi Dave, I've been a bit slack the last few months but have bought a faster scanner, so it should be more regular now! Plus I get slack when the brochures are bigger than A4 as you've got to scan them and sort of splice them together wherever you can. Glad you like them - I grab them from eBay and Import Monster and the nature of those beasts is that I may be bidding (and being outbid) by other friends and users of Bellett.net, however the bidding is all anonymous these days. The reality is that I love seeing these pictures as much as anyone and really love studying the detail of the bygone styles (both interior and the crazy models!), but more than that, I love to share them on this site so people can have a look at what their car may have looked like brand new! It's been a long time since these machines rolled out the factory, so the brochures are like a time capsule as well.... Cheers again! Dave

Go easy - bellett65's is pretty healthy, I reckon!
I wouldn't have kept buying the stuff, but it's clear to me they made more DIFFERENT brochures than they made individual cars. Or so it seems!
