It's a nice car, Steven, lots of hours in there. Hope you get the right money for it. Sorry I'm not cashed up to bid! Maybe the new owner will get it to Coonabarabran, please point 'em.
Cheers & thanks for all the details.
Matt.

Its a real pity you cant keep the car in the family, Steve.

There are really not too many in that condition still being driven around.

Sure wish i had a spare 10K laying about.

Hope it goes to a real good home.

Now up to 10.6K with 11 hours to go, heres hoping it goes to a person who will look after and not race it and so on!!!
Steve's father was Peter Lyons, a really nice Gut and put a lot of time into that car!!!
Peter was at, at least 2 of the Nationals held in Canberra.

so does anyone know where all the sedans and other stuff that Peter had accumulated over the years of Bellett'ing end up?
Must have been quite a collection going by the effort on the GT...

If another one sells in a similar fashion (eg: $10k+ non-runner 90% restored... or more for a running restored or mint original) then we could consider it a trend and we all might need to speak to our insurers...

I put mine up a bit when we had that trend of dodgy cars go for $6-7k a year or so ago. I think it's on for $8000. Paid $5000 for it, but have spent a fortune just stopping the thing from dying!

Mine's dodgy. But it runs. Sort of.
