The time has come that I realise I won't be getting to this car anytime soon, with a bunch of Bellett projects to do, so it should go to someone who will do it. It is a pretty rare variant over the DeLuxe, with twin Aisan (SU type) carbs, different cam, 4-speed box, higher geared diff, 14" rims with unique caps, bigger rear drums, front discs, shorter & heavier front and rear springs, thicker front sway bar, & 5 compartment anti-splash fuel tank(!). Inside there are lay-back buckets, floor change with console & full instruments - round (versus strip). The self-seek AM radio is in place. This is all factory. It's 100% complete, but the motor is worn to the point that it won't start anymore. It needs a complete respray (inside closures is o.k.), but is rust free apart from surface patches & a small hole in the left front guard. The interior is reasonable apart from the driver's seat vinyl & dashpad. I have a complete set of spare panels, back & front windscreens and a few 'S' specific spares. (Gearbox, seats, guages). I would like $2000, but am open to offers. The money will go into my Wasp! (Next cab off the rank!) Attachment:

Just for the record, the Crown is now SOLD! It will shortly be at it's new home in Toowoomba, with a Toyota enthusiast. (No, not Ted!) The money has funded exhaust, insurance, retrieval fuel, brake work, and will do rego for Aunty Mary. Cheers, Matt.

pretty nice and unusual ride there, Matt pity you could not hang onto it but i know how you have to sometimes cut back. As long as you hang onto those Isuzu's its all good. OZ

Hello & welcome AJ. I will email the owner & see if it is OK. He mailed me recently to say the restoration was almost complete, so I'll ask for some pics too. It will be good to see it cruise again.
I do have another one that I could probably be talked out of, but be warned it is solid but requires a complete restoration.
Cheers, Matt.

Hi, I was wondering if you still had the contact information of the person you sold the 1967 Toyota Crown to. I live in Toowoomba as well and would like to talk to him or someone else who has some experience with Toyota Crowns. I'm in the process of doing up a 71 Crown, I also have 4 1967 Crowns all of them in pretty poor condition however one does have the 2 litre twin carburettor motor which is in very good order. I was thinking of putting it into the 1971 model. I have been old these motors are more powerful motor then the 2300 motor which is currently in the car. Someone else has suggested I put the twin carb head onto the 2300 motor. So I don't know what to do. I really need to talk to someone who has some experience with the old crowns. My mobile number is 0411 022 039....I would appreciate any help...Thanks, Lester
