http://tampa.craigslist.org/pnl/cto/3755112447.html Hi all I ran across this ad and I would like to go take a look, (not buying though) this is one of the oldest Isuzu's I've seen around here in a while, and a diesel too. Later Mark |

Great looking body; these have always looked pretty shagged... and the two tone is pretty rad. Asking drug money for it though considering it's a non-runner! Or didn't I read the ad right...? |

It has a nice body, quite a few Troopers sported that color scheme in this market. The owner didn't mind I took a couple of photos, Thanks Quintin. Cheers Mark

it was pizza and beer night for us last night and I really limited my comments while I was under the influence .... I do have a branding question, is this a Trooper / Bighorn or Jackaroo? I seem to maybe have the two confused ... I'm a former Isuzu 4x4 ute / pickup owner so I do have a soft spot for these beasts, but yes it would be drug money for sure as this poor thing is in so many pieces and it needs more than just a head, (Hello) every thing forward of the transfer case is taken apart and scattered through out the shop. sadly as we know Isuzu's here have only value to a few of us freaks that love the brand.... but I am a pitiful realist and can see the work that this would need. I would only offer a fraction of the asking price and really this would be to save this thing from neglect and sitting in a auto repair yard .... Mark |

as far as i know troopers and jackeroos are pretty much the same vehicles, just rebadged for different markets (possibly a few trim etc differences too) I remember as a kid i had a bighorn remote control car, wasnt till i was older that i figured out it looked near on identical to the nieghbours jackeroo! |

Mark. Trooper,Bighorn,Jackaroo and Vauxhall Montery are all derivatives of the Isuzu UBS series 4x4. Over here in Aus. we had long and short wheelbase. G200 petrol and C223 diesel options. The first versions were all 2 door. The later models came with 4 doors on long wheel base. Dave. |
