Last Sunday we had a few Wasps and Belletts turn up at Willowbank raceway. Meeting place was Macca's Goodna, before all heading up to the raceway. Met Lewis at the usual spot, exit 45, to lead the way , he had new number plates, PR90, shining all the way to McDonalds, even past the speed camera. Nice one Lewis.

Arrived early at Macca's Goodna carpark, this was the scene of bad floods out of Brisbane. Macca's still closed. 10 minutes later a red Wasp arrives, driver smiling ear to ear. Great to see it's gone to a good home, a few know I tried to do a deal with Pinky here, but that was unsuccessful. The owner gave me first option to lay under the rear and check it out, must've seen me at Coona.

Isuzu Corner, what a lot of admirer's we got. From here a short walk to about an acre of swap parts, not much in the way of Jap parts, but I managed to sniff out some mags the same as Pinky's, but thats another story.

Greg was seen with a tape measure, around some of these cars, not sure if for wasp, sedan or GT , but that racecar will look great on the track.

Couldn't find any Marinas for all you enthusiasts but I found a Mini with a Japanese heart transplant, a Honda, well done.

The only disapointment of the day was that we didn't see a Bellett on the track. Even if it only was a drag track.

Great photos Gerry, and a great day! Thanks again to you and Dave giving me a push start, got me all the way home. I plan to remove the offending starter motor today and repair it. Here's a couple more front view pics of the Bellett/Wasp corner showcase

Thanks for the pics Gerry. I wish I had been able to make it out myself but unfortunately I had prior commitments to attend to. Very nice line up too. Not surprised that the Goodna Macca's was still closed. At the peak of the flood it only had about 6 inches of the ridge capping at the centre peak of the roof not covered with muddy water. Nearly 6 metres deep.
Glad to see you had a good day, and good weather too.
Geoff

Brilliant thats great to see these cars out mixing it with what some people might say are the more traditional cars.
Again thank you for the pictures.
Cheers Rob

Lewis, thought you fell off the edge of the earth. Great to see you still have the passion for your GT, as I can still remember the painfull effort you put into restoring it. It still looks as if it had just been done. Maree the kids and I have great memories when you where here in NSW, so one day, I hope to catch up soon. Regards Geoff.
