hey all. just a heads up the Steve is organising a garage crawl day for late Sept/early Oct. if u've never heard of this kind of thing or been to one before, it's basically a day where we meet at someone's place, look thru their garage, have a chat, then move onto the next place and do it all again. Steve hopes to have 4 or 5 places to visit, all Bellett related of course, including a stop at 2 places with multiple cars and things to look at. we'll also be putting on a bbq at the final stop that will have plenty to look at and keep everyone talking. i'll keep u informed when a date is set. cheers.

Yeah, good idea! We do that in Rye Park, Gary Carter comes to my place, then I go to his. Best part is, there keeps being new Isuzus to look at!
I'd like to be there, PR91! Have fun, Matt.

ok the date is set for Sunday Oct 9. yes we know this is also Bathurst race day, but it's the best for those involved while remembering that tha nationals are only 2 weeks later. anyway we all know the whole V8 supercar thing is as boring as watching your lawn grow these days so a Bellett day is much better! the 'garages' will be located fairly close to one another to minimise travelling time and there'll be a bbq at the finish. in fact it'll be the infamous Bellett-bq... and yes we'll have a TV on there as well so we can all relax, enjoy our cars and watch the race.

oh and also this is an official BCCV event so please direct any queries including start time and location, where we are going, what we'll do and where we will finish to myself. for privacy reasons i won't be advertising any address on the forum of places we'll visit as most are either members homes or places of business and i know all here can understand why this is. thanks and hope to see all the BCCV members out in force with their cars!

well guys and girls from other states... hold your heads high and enjoy your Bellett-based events coz we've had to cancel the 'garage crawl' that was planned in Melbourne for Oct 9 due to a lack of interest... yes u read it write... CANCELLED! to say that Steve and myself are very disappointed with the majority of the 'enthusiasts' down here is a huge understatement... the only people that we're attending were the 4 whose places we were to visit and we all see each other regularly anyway so we were left with no choice but the one we've taken. adding to the disappointment is we also see the other states getting great involvement in events by the people there and we once had the same... rest assured tho that Steve and myself are discussing ways to get things on the right track again soon!

Bit of a bummer there there Brett, as if it was not for a active club that we are involved in our cars would not get out. Most of us up here are in the classic japanese car club it only started 20 months ago and now has over 40 members 1/3 of these are belletts. This weekend of the 9th was a not a good one for us but as Geoff said it sounded like it would be worth a trip down there.
