All quiet? For what it's worth, I would have happily bought the whole lot of you for a project a few months back, but don't need the bits anymore...stick with it mate, these things aren't super-common, as you know, so the demand's not huge. If you run out of patience here, chuck it online elsewhere.

Hi Upnorthvws, Firstly, thank you for finding this car and going to the trouble of finding us and offering it and the other parts here. I would be happy to pay that for it all, were I closer. In a big country distance does slow some of us down. I am sure one of the Queenslanders will be in touch, but many are probably still making their way home from the national meet.
Also sad to hear of the demise of the Florians, as I too am a fan.
How you cope with rain like that I'll never know, my only visits to Cairns (3) were in winter. I still have a couple of cousins up there.
Cheers, Matt.

upnorth... please don't let this GT go to the crusher. you stated you would have it moved to your location and sell parts off it in an earlier post... PLEASE do so as i for one, and i know there's more than just me, would be happy to buy bits off it and it'd be worth your while. also, if distance wasn't such a huge factor from my location (Melbourne) i would have been and claimed this PR90 long ago. cheers!

I guess it's gone. I did msg him and ask that if nothing else was saved off that car, I would have paid good money for the PR90 grille... I know he wasn't gonna part it etc etc but I figured saving the grille would have been better than saving nothing.
I guess there'll be another one. Maybe. If we're lucky.

I had a quote to have it sent to brissie on a back load at $550 but we were on our way home from coona and with the wheres all the save the car punters statement came. This is where i lost interest and thought he can keep it. The upside is i am not responsible for funding another 80km per hour kombi on the hiway

I was waiting for it to pop up on eBay, but guess it wasn't upnorth's car to sell. Pity as trim, interior, glass would have been worth the money, even if the body was stuffed and the motor gone. Heck, the roof could have been repatriated onto a 'convertible'!
