For those interested in 117s there is reference on the site http://bringatrailer.com/category/japanese/page/4/ which also has the pic of the Bellett mentioned in another place on Bellett.net. Some interesting background to Isuzu in America and reasons why they might not have had the success of other Japanese manufacturers. A.J.

Heeelllooooooooooooooooooo When booking your accomodation........if bringing trailers, trucks etc please just mention this to them..... There is plenty of room in designated areas..... each cabin has room for 1 to 2 cars depending...... this park holds many car events...so they are very car club friendly!

Aha - I'd been locked out of this thread up until recently so was unaware of the venue change. Merimbula is a lot closer to Canberra than Coona, and an easy day trip. Even easier if we go to our house at Malua Bay for the weekend. So, while I probably won't come for the whole event, there's a good chance I can drop in one day and actually meet some of you people face to face. And check out your cars. I'll put it in my diary Cheers, Vic

We have friends that lived in Malua Bay for a while, and we used to take holiday rentald & visit them. Nice part of the world. Cheers, Matt.

yes, for those who have only just gained access to the "Nationals" section, the event does move around the country every year or 2. simply to make it fair and accessible for all Bellett enthusiasts at some stage, and we try to make it a case of "it's close-ish this year for me and a decent drive drive u, but next year it's vice versa" kind of thing. also, moving it to new local's keeps it fresh for everyone by providing new countryside and experiences in and around the event.
so everyone knows, in the past, these "current" Nats (there was a older version in the early 90's) have been at, and will be in the future: 2006: Corowa NSW. 2007: Corowa NSW. 2008: Corowa NSW. (this was to be in Dubbo NSW, but just couldn't get it done at the time, so a last minute move to Corowa was needed to ensure the event went ahead in '08). 2009: Adelaide SA. 2010: Coonabarabran NSW. 2011: Coonabarabran NSW. 2012: Merimbula NSW. 2013: Adelaide SA. 2014: Tasmania.
so now u all know! cheers.

Hi everyone I can't wait. I'm already booked in at Merimbula and making a list of minor tweaks to prepare the yellow peril for its second ever visit to the big island. If I don't get it all done I guess I could bring either a Triumph Stag, 38 Pontiac or Morris Marina (2 door coupe deluxe of course) Looking forward to catching up with all you other belletters. As of midnight tonight only 22, 464, 000 seconds left. YP
