Although I wasn't able to find the previous posts I think I've read about painted bolts on these cars, this one has yellow bolts in the rear and a lot of the suspension bolts are yellow also.
Some appear to have been painted at the factory just being where they are, some of the other hardware I'm not so sure.

Mark

Good work with the sticker (Is that Dave again, Geez he's a good bloke!), and with getting mobile!
The guessing game is always fun - "Bellaye, Is it French?" - "Early Alfa?" - "Nah, mate, it's Japanese. Bill's dad had one o' them when we were kids, remember?"
Cheers.

Love your Car

I vote for the color it has -- looks good

Yellow perils wheels do come from a late 70's Toyota Corona

those paint smudges look very much like colour tests that a panel shop would do when custom mixing paint to get a perfect match to the existing colour....
seen it a thousand times, and is a telltale sign of at least one repaint.

mitsu seat belts... i've never seen them in an aussie delivered Bellett, but our cars aren't the same model as your's Mark.
having said that, the mitsu diamond symbol can be found in other places on original Bellett stuff too as they shared common parts when new.
brake parts are 1 area that comes to mind.

cheers.

No no no no no......wrong wrong wrong wrong!!!!!!!!!!!

   :x :x :x

Sorry to post off topic and apologies to BELLETTPR10 for hijack of his thread so to speak, but i've gotta let cdtpf60 know that his information above is totally incorrect.

Prince Skyline S50 was made by Prince Motor Company and Mitsubishi Colt 1000 (i presume this is the model you are referring to) was made by Mitsubishi!!!

Similar in appearance, but quite different...Must admit - I am fastidious about early Prince/Nissan/Datsun history and will generally pick the bones out of most things written about Prince on the internet (cause nearly everything written that i have seen other in 'real literature' has components of the 'story wrong').....but this is the first time i have ever seen this written...... :o :( :x

Don't want everyone getting the wrong information at all.......
