Welcome to the forum, always nice to meet new Belletters, We have a couple of members in Tassie that could probably give you some idea of value, best would be to PM them they are Rod and Yellowperil. or post some pickys, expense of getting to mainland would be the biggest problem. I have a nice red 69 Bellett auto sedan that came from Tassie. Cheers Geoff

Hi when you make a reply, you can add up to 6 pictures by clicking on the "Browse" text below. Then select the picture to send. Then click on "Add the file" Wait until it is loaded, then do the next one, etc. Continue for as many pictures as you can up to the max of 6. If you have more than 6, you need to do another post to the group.
You need to put the pictures on your computer first of course. in general terms connect the camera to the computer then select and move the camera pictures onto the computer. Your camera should have details for this. For some cameras, just connect it to the computer and it should come up as a 'drive' on your computer, then follow the info above to select the pictures directly from the camera.

always good to hear of more belletts about! like has been said pictures would help to give a value to what you have. Unfortunately though unless the car is in mint condition its probably not worth that much not having a go just saying, but best to get pics up so the guys that know what they are looking at can give you a better idea!

Hi Nifty Welcome to the Forum The White Auto Looks like a tidy original unit, I would have thought it would be worth at least $1200-$1500, If the interior and mechanicals are in the same sort of condition and it drives. My auto was in a similar condition but needed a few minor mechanical repairs and I picked it up for $800 a few years ago. The Blue one is harder to value I would think, being a deluxe is a bit more unusual but needs quite a bit more work! The seats look like they are out of a Corolla, again if its mechanically good and is driveable, my thought would be around $500-$700. Prices also seem to vary from state to state, I looked at one in Adelaide a while back and the owners were told by a friend interstate that a good engine alone was worth $200. (this was given sight unseen as the owners said it was good) The problem was in Adelaide It probably wouldnt get that and there were bits missing off the motor so it really couldnt be easily tested. The local Tassie forum members and owners, will be able to give you a better idea of the local value! Thats my thought any way, some others may have a better idea, but to me it seems to comes down to what someone is willing to pay! I hope you get a good price for them and they are put back on the road! Josh

I would say that the deluxe is a deluxe badge only, has not got the chrome door tops or tinted glass, as Bullitt has pointed out it may have 2 speed wipers, but not much else to say that it is a deluxe. I do think the white one looks a better car, and do think think pa man would be around the top end for money. My two bobs worth. and remember parts are hard to get and they are very expensive to restore, and when restored no one to buy them anyway. Cheers Geoff.

Geoff, I was wondering about the deluxe, Its a bit hard to tell about the window tint in a photo and I was wondering if the frames had been painted over (not the first time I have seen that), to me I was a little unusual to have at least one guard deluxe badge and part of the rear deluxe badge and it looks to have the 2 speed wipers. If its not a deluxe then probably $500 is getting close to top dollar. Josh

the blue one in my opinion is definately a deluxe, from my memories of my 1968.it is in good condition although it doesntlook like it.no rust ,floor is good, lights all work etc.little lemon coloured one has had a spray job about 7 years ago,but it wasn't a good job.interior shows normal age wear, roof lining is a1,no carpet but floor has no rust.re tinted windows on blue one-my 68 did not have them and it was only 18 mths old.spare motor and g/box,another motor, front end plus other small spares.would hope to get $2500 all up.thanks for your interest and info.

Hi Nifty, and all, Welcome to these pages. Just a note on DeLuxes, many dealers (in NSW at least) made up "DeLuxe equipment" packages - usually Badges, Radio, Heater, Carpets added to a standard model. This helped Australian content requirements. This govt. regulation was dropped in 1968, so most became full imported DeLuxes, some of which had previously came in. (But not many!) These had the soft (GT) door pulls, 2-speed wipers, 2-speed heater/demister, Roof grab handles, Clock, Tinted glass all round, S/Steel window frames and full wheel covers. Automatics seem to sometimes score some of these things, particularly carpets. I reckon your $2500 ask is fair, particularly if one or both start & drive. In fact, Tracy is probably happy you don't live closer! Come on YP & Rod, muster some local to get into them! Cheers, Matt.

I take it the $5200 on the Gumtree listing is a typo?

not necessarily a typo, may attract a different group of viewers and a local interest without having to worry about transport across the water,it is still a good price.

nifty, Bellett's are usually owned or bought by a very narrow group of enthusiast's who have loved or owned the cars for many years. they are not the same as holden, ford, valiant, monaro or falcon GT owners or wannabee's.
the used car market for unusual but semi collectable older cars is hurting, as is the general financial community. everyone is not spending money like they were, as our utility bills are going thru the roof, carbon Tax is going to cost ???? cars like low mileage gemini's, shovel nose corona's, etc are not even getting much interest at $1500, wether listed on eBay or Gumtree.
a bellett is even harder to sell as there are significantly less people looking to buy them.
but i also know of a number of Bellett sellers who thought that their cars were worth $XXXX and they are still sitting in the back yard increasing in value??????????????????????????????
5 years from now they will be towed to the dump! to me thats just plain stupid.
not trying to put a damper on your party or try and beat you down in price as i would not be travelling to Tassie for cars. but then again you could get a real peanut with money to burn who thinks 2 Bellett's for 5K is a bargain.
thats what we are all hoping to find when it comes to selling our cars!!
GOOD LUCK
