You Gents have a keen eye to have examined the photo that closely. I had a Zepyr ute, same model in really good condition back in 1974. 8-)
Pity it was spoilt by my ex father in-law delivering white goods, white goods unfortunately knocked it around quite badly, but he was a prick anyway  !! He would not listen to me those days, mind you I was not strong enough against him either

Geezus we run this forum fairly fast and lose on the petty forum rules, but I've never seen a thread hijack so thread-hijacky!

A good hijacking from time to time does lift the spirits of the readers, at least it gets people talking and sharing.

Without the hijack we never would have found out what Davo sacrificed to acquire his first Bellett.
At least that bit of info was related to the original photo posted (if you squint to look past & through the object of beauty that inspired this thread........ONE HELL OF A SWEET RATTER  )

not for club plates.
just present the paperwork, pay the cash, grab the plates and off ya go.
your car may have been different tho as it was new to the country.

I SAID FOR REGO, NOT CLUB PLATES.

ALL THEY WANTED WAS THE RWC.

I popped in to see the owner of this bellett today, i didnt want to waste too much of his time as he has a business to run!
I think the car is in pretty good nick, just has that lovely roman red ratty patina that seems to be a South aussie thing!
It was a pleasure meeting Dave and im glad i took the time to say hi to him (and glad he didnt boot me out for wasting his time!!)

And his name was Dave. Just for some variety.

And he has a Roman red 1966.5. Just for some variety (there are at least 3 of them here in SA!)

And it's a bit ratty.... just for some variety!

Nice work Paul. I hope you gave him info on the Forum and insisted he bring it to the 2013 Nationals!

Cheers,

Dave
