Gav aka Bellett65 decided that Denis Smith couldn't have all the health attention, so he's gone and smashed into a roo while riding his Royal Enfield Bullet.

Some of you may remember big hairy Gav and his bike from the Bellett Nationals 2012, where he was so happy he finally got his bike going well after several years of work that he had to bring it, despite it being a Bullet and not a Bellett.

He's smashed his arm up pretty badly; he had an 8 hour operation on it last night. He's not sure how the bike is; he hasn't seen it since.

He's whacked off his gourd on morphine at the moment, but I'm sure he'll be on here soon to regale us with stories of how big the roo was and how impossible it was to avoid!

I did say that Denis has got bloody Parkinsons and hasn't hit a roo yet! And I should make mention that Gav has ridden about 10,000 miles across freakin India without hitting a dog/sacred cow/lower caste member... so he was pretty unlucky.

He even told Brett he'd slowed down because of the roos.... and still hit one.

Needless to say, we'll be ribbing him for a while, but we're glad he's OK and wish him a speedy recovery.

It was his right arm and I'm pretty sure he's right handed so, uh, no vigorous hand-shaking for him for a while...
