I spent 4 hours un seizing the brake shoes from the drums with quite a mess in there from sitting a brake o/haul is the go :) The engine is seized and one spark plug broke off in the head so instead of mucking about I will lift the engine out I hope to give it a hone with a new set of rings and bearings. I cant help doing spot polishing it comes up like new. The old owner rang to day to say he found the keys :D I suggested if I have it going in five weeks he could drive it to Adelaide this is being considered 8-).

it's a public holiday here today so I had a few jobs this morning to help the staff catch up. But I got into it and finished off the napoleon I need a hand in the morning to put the zorst back on and the bonnet and he is ready for Adelaide if Liz and her daughter decide to take him. He is looking good.

Greg, if you want to keep the stock wheels on, I have a spare set of hubcaps with your name on 'em.
Cheers, Matt.

Thanks guys
oz I have a fair stash of vrs kits here I learnt to store stuff if and when it is available ;) I learnt the hard way
Thanks for the offer  Matt I have a set of mags for it that will not detract from the car stance I hope :?: but I may change my mind.
Dave the bug bar I struggle to like but it does add character, the other accessory is a perspect windscreen cover this has a future stay tuned.
The brakes are away to be reconditioned and the engine is swinging from the crane tomorrow it will be off with his head :) I will post some more picks soon.
The three layers of floor mats reviel the Brand new 40 year old blue carpet minus a small wear mark  The ash trays are lined with alfoil in case they were used not a rub mark inside to be seen. I only hope I can maintain this condition for the net 45 years.

Here are a few picks.
every grease nipple still has the little caps and the brake bleed nipples are the same.
The mouldy dash mat removed shows a brand new dash
The boot shows a little wear n tear but not worth mucking around with the wheel chocks are still wrapped in plastic inside the pouch :D the Isuzu touch up paint is still in the tool kit but it rattles  might need to thin it down a little.

Gricey it's not a case of who has the best 1 its the fact that they are still here. I am just stoked I got the honour to preserve this old piece of Isuzu history and the fact that the guy before me preloved it that much is what makes this one a pleasure to play with and affordable. Mind you it was a little annoying removing the brake drums

i reckon we wont see another early series Flo like this again!

and your right. it is wonderful to have a car well looked after even if there are a few issues.

i could not believe my Auto sedan had never had a front end hit! The bumper is a little askew, but all the front is straight as.
not seen that in more than 20 years. and it was garaged by its lady owner all of its life! and rust is virtually non existent.
i didnt care that motor had been run low on oil and the big end bearing chewed out. that is easy to fix.
the costly and time consuming part is panel and rust repair.

and i know you have done all those hard hours on your other Isuzu's

i am just so glad it got found before it was wrecked or crushed.

just keep telling people where ever you go that you collect Early Isuzu cars. Any condition. and keep telling them.

be great if it got to SA this year, but if not, we will see it in the metal one day.

keep those pics coming
