Hi
Mad rush to get my baby on the road for the Nats
Heres a pic so far
Came up with one missing part -- the pipe between the oil filter and chain tensioner -- still chasing 8 mm banjo fittings
What Bottom radiator hose fits this looking at the motor from the front Waterpump exit on right hand side goes down and under harmonic balacer then turns into bottom of bellet radiator -- Help
Also can you strip the harmonic balancer back to the rear pulley as it wont let the fan turn
Cheers Flying

looking good.
try a place like Enzed or similar, the places that make hoses. They should have banjo fittings and the pipe also.
Its too long ago when i did DOHC conversions, so can't help with hose numbers, apart from the usual, check out the stores stock, like Supercheap, Repco etc.
do you have apicture of the balancer area ?

Thanks Glenn
I have been to all those places - Unfortunately this is the only 8 mm banjo on the car Everyone has 10 mm as the smallest-- Ordered the parts from England -- waiting game
Cheers

flying you need to put the harmonic balancer in a lathe and take it back to the back single pulley is the best solution or thermo fan is the other my cars have either solution. A vn commodore top hose will do the trick I cant help much more but I used 1 put it on the water pump try both ways to see it heads in the best position you will need to cut it in the middle as it will go away from the radiator I fitted 3 inches of exhaust pipe to join it with a few dobs of weld each end the hose from memory needed about 1 inch cut off from the radiator end. With a twin cam make sure you have a bleeder in the thermostat I drill another small hole in mine also they can be shockers for a air locks and will overheat.

Flying well, just had a thought, i had a Nissan 200SX back in '94 and the pipe on the turbo leaked water. They replaced it under warranty even though it was found to be something else..... anyway, i still have the pipe ! And, it's 7.8mm OD (near enough to 8mm) It has the banjo fitting s on the end. (2) They are 24mm OD and the hole is 14mm any good to you ? I can bring it over... Its like new. UPDATE: maybe you need the Banjo itself to be 8mm ? Thinking back, i think the pip you are refering too is fairly small?

Great progress there, George! should see you joining us on the next SA country afternoon cruise.... must feel exciting to have it moving on its own steam and not a push and a grunt to roll it about the shed OZ
