Other than being in my own GT or part of an organised cruise, i have never seen a random Bellett on the streets of Adelaide before.........UNTIL YESTERDAY, saturday 2nd of November.

On the way back from a wedding in Maitland, Liz and i were coming down Milne rd. at about 6pm. I says to Liz "that's got to be an original Bellett Sedan" coming towards us up the hill :o :o I had to look again as i thought i was halucinating, beige in colour it was.

As it gets closer i spot none other than proffesor "OZ" in the drivers seat, i give him a honk of the horn from the golden Omega we were driving, but he seemed to be checking out the telemetry on the dash.

So mate, you were spotted in that lovely original looking tear drop :P . Who was the passenger ??

i did hear the horn and though it may have been a mate who also has a Commy sedan.
my son-in-law had taken my daily Captiva to rescue a VC Valiant Regal from south of the city and i had stuff to do so out came the Bellett Auto for the day. My mate Allen in the passenger seat is a solid bloke so he "just"fits into the car!
we had to run about most of the day locally between home, Bunnings and our rental for the daughter at Modbury Heights.

she was running like the beaut that only a bellett is....

and yes i have not seen one outside the group for 15 odd years, except for the one sitting at the swap meet at Sedan 6 months ago.

See...even a solid chap won't slow one down ;) That's a fairly steep part of Milne.

Things turned retro black, white and beige there for a second, until I say your grin from ear to ear.....gotta love 'em.

yep. the new dizzy i dropped into it on Bellett Nationals arvo did the trick!
it flew up the freeway on B2B and the only other issue i had was brake system pressurizing itself, oops no play in pedal and auto braking back down the freeway into Adelaide. quick release and lock of the main line out of the Master cylinder did that.
and then it started to stall and idle real low on my way home. so redone timing and adjusted idle.

starter motor is not great either, but its still working and she is driving real well!

and you do get a few people doing a double take at the lights or the servo. they are quite unusual to see on the roads.
