Local Autobarn hold a 'show and shine' each year in the car park in Narre. At least 300 cars there of all types. Well run show. Big portable lights as it was near dusk, food stands, DJ's etc.
A few of doubfull legality eg A Valiant running slicks with telltale rubber pieces under rear 1/4, blown engine.
Many on club permit highly modified. We (BCCV) worry about minor things that are non original but it seems almost anything goes in the 'real world'. Not sure for how long. Vic Roads apparently 'looking into it'......
Police in unmarked car (Gn ss sportwagon) delighting in pulling over those who can't help themselves once they leave the park (wheels spins etc!) One pulled over as he raised and lowered the VT (!) Commodore on airbags as he drove.
Not many 'classics' and no Belletts. [I didn't know until last minute it was on.] A Crown with big wire wheels and airbags (subtle) a Zephr, lots of Panel Vans Dave, including a Sandman.
Heaps of HSV's from the Brock era to late. Some with superchargers on them.
For those who think their Bellett is underpowered, a twin turbo'd V8, reputedly with 2600HP was for sale. You can see cubic dollars in that motor !

I was there too Glenn. Sans car tho. Had a family do in Berwick (read: kids party....), so us dads disappeared for a couple of hours for a look. If we'd known earlier, I would have taken something, Kim's cousin would have taken his Camaro and her dad would have taken something, probably his T-bird, but we only knew about it when her cousin drove past and saw it all on their way to the party. Was a nice turnout, and agreed.... There was some un'historic' cars getting around there. The bronze EH wagon with a blown Chev in it and tubs that big under the rear that all u could see of the diff housing was the centre stood out in my mind.

The red EH holden sedan stood out for me. Looked stock, but don't know what motor it had. The V6 Capri was very nice too. Cars were coming and going but i didn't see the EH wagon. I only stayed an hour, before it started to get dark. Not sure if Japanese cars were too welcome though. Only saw the one in pic above. A few tearing around the streets being silly though !
