Well. I've gone and done it. . I bought the GT that Kerry had for sale. . Although there was 1 condition. I take the "68 sedan as well. They're both due late today. Saturday. I thought some keen eyed Bellett spotter would have seen them by know. I had told a couple of the "Bellett Family" that I had and I asked if it could be kept quiet and I would announce it at some stage. Dave.

Sorry. Should read. PR91 and a PR20 Northbound. I'm all excited. This being my first post and uploading pictures. I do it at work. But a bit apprehensive on this forum. Look at the time. I'd better go to bed. Otherwise I won't get any sleep at all. YEEE HAAAA. Dave.

He rang me this morning @ 7.30and said he was in Benaraby and will see me in a half hour. I said bul!5h. He drove up yesterday. Camped down the road. Had a good sleep and then rung me. We spent a good 4 hours to get them off. No hurry. Tin & Rag. And both PR91's. Dave

Nice work Dave Can't wait for the day we convoy together again on a looooong roadtrip, but this time with you in a coupe looking like all the way. Gone to a good home that's for sure.

Good score Davo, that is one nice GT, or soon will be. Fell in love with it when I saw it, and must admit I did procrastinate it's purchase many a time..... Good to see it come to Qld. Congratulations. Geoff

Thanks 'STICKY' and Geoff. I first saw it coming back from Adelaide. That's when 'GRICEY' self invited us all to KB's for a coffee. Then we heard that Greg was visiting as well, later. I immediately thought that it was sold and then to forget about it. Wrong.! It was when I contacted KB about the deluxe frames he had on the old strip taillamp in the boneyard. I was going down to Bendigo for a reunion and I would travel further on to get the frames. Then it started. Emails too and fro. It was when I was there for the 2 days stripping the car I made the final decision. I got more than the frames. Dave.

We ALL swooned over that GT on the way home from Adelaide.... Donkey didn't want to leave for home without it but I could barely afford fuel to get back to Brissy let alone consider purchasing a GT. We settled for dinner and coffee with the Bellett family instead. Just as good as owning a GT in my books Awesome car needing very little to bring back onto the roadtrip conga-line. Your the deserving owner mate

Well done Dave! I had seriously considered it as a project about 2 years ago when he had done a lot of the engine bay rust cutting before he switched to finishing off his other white GT restoration which we saw at Merrimbula. All the best with reviving another white GT to the fleet residing in Qld. Bonus acquiring a late model sedan too.

A smooth change of ownership for a couple of Belletts and parts in a deal which from start to finish covered something like 10 months incl. about a 7 week delivery trip (without electronic tracking ! ) We have just returned from a holiday (there is another Bellett story in that too ... ) in time to find that the cars were delivered safely to Dave. (thanks to Bob the truckie ) . We would like to thank Dave for his patience and friendly, easy going nature (a pleasure to deal with ) and we are sure that he will do the cars justice and continue to receive alot of fun and pleasure from them in the future. K and A

One of the "mentions" in some of the conversations that I've had with various people was that it was seen in that area as well as the Gold Coast and lots of other places. Nothing confirmed and 1 of my 'Jobstodo" in the restoration is to get a history of it. Dave. Attachment:

Rod. The Red Baron. That's what my late mother called it. Is a '69. Short bonnett with infills. G161ss engine. That's a SOHC with twin Hitachi/SU carbs. The wipers are in reverse to all the standard length bonnetts. Adelaide. The white car.The 1 I bought from KB. Built some time between Aug. '67 and Feb. '68. It's a long bonnet. G161 engine. Standard wipers.
Dave.
