Yep, today is exactly 50 years to the day that our cars hit the Aussie market. Isuzu Ute Aust is marking the occasion by having the Wasp on display again, in Melbourne this time, from tomorrow til Sunday nite at the 4X4 expo with its current day cousins. Happy B'day Isuzu!

Gary Smith has the very first car sold in Australia on his collection. There is at least 1 car with a lower chassis number than this car, but they were sols after it, so in my book, Gary's car is Aussie Bellett number 1.

B, the nationwide day was originally set for the 23rd, but had to be changed to the 17th due to date clashes that were already set.

Still have the date Kerry! (Great to see you home, btw) so you were one privellaged to own a Bellett NEW. Nice. Birthdays all around! My brother Chris was delivered on August 20th, '54, so Belletts were launched for his 10th. He is the only brother without a Bellett or Colt..... Yep, its a mystery... HAPPY BIRTHDAY BELLETTS!Cheers, Matt.

23rd Sept will be the 48th Birthday of my first BELLETT, a 1966.5, first of the all syncro gear boxes and last of the 3 bearing engines, I was in the Army then and got in it and drove it to Wodonga to continue my Corp Training! I should never have sold the car HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ALL BELLETTS!!
