My1970 sedan takes a screw on Ryco Z9, compatible with many Australian Fords of the period.

However it could have been a modification, not the standard set up. All the other sedans I've seen have the cartridge type filter.

But wait, Theres more!
A good (non forum) mate gave me a pressy of 2 oil filters - said they were a bargain.
So I went to my truck parts supplier in Young and ordered a few more.
They are SAKURA brand - O-1803. I'm told they're made in the Fleetgard factory. The seal is quite thick, but fits.
$7. Baaaargain! :D
I've ordered 6 more.

Now I just looked back over the thread & saw stickman has used them, but more exxy.

Just something you probably know, but when you change the filter, be sure there is a large cupped washer on top of the element. The spring pushes down on this & holds the element in place. Gary & I have both had cars come to us without the washer installed. They have probably been inadvertently discarded with the element by previous owners - they tend to stick to the top of the element. Without it the element does nothing.

Cheers, Matt.

How about this one... can't see it listed above... my local tractor shop (in McLaren Vale, SA - home of THE BEST red wines in the land) has off the shelf Bare & Co #B7701 oil filters to suit Massey-Ferg grey motors (and many more) - these fit beautifully. Mr Dave Carey Esq. put me onto these. Old guy that owns the shop says they're from the UK and wont be discontinued anytime soon. Look to my untrained eye as good quality compared to the old Ryco's.

And a small, hand written $8 on each box. Sweet.

Paul.

thanks paul.
added to the list. good price too as the Baldwin i put in the GT a few weeks back was $16 (from memory), but is a bloody good filter.
honestly, i'd hope the Bare & Co are better than Ryco, coz IMHO, Ryco aren't much chop at all.

but mate.... the best red in the land.... or any wine for that matter.... think u need to pay a visit over here sometime, as i'm right in the middle of the yarra valley....

i was having a chuckle at work the other day, i pulled 3 ryco oil filters of the shelf and all 3 were made in different places, Bulgaria, Spain and South Africa.
But then they are not the only company that does that....

I was flicking through the Isuzu Bellett parts manual in that it has given me the isuzu part number of 14215-050 inwhich google-ing just the number provided me with some results on sites unsure if I am sending people on wild goose chases but I hope it provides some positive results. This is numbers one site gave me. Hopefully a Mazda AMC or othe manufactures aircleaner

GT air filter - TJ Filters B12 for Rover 2000TC. Old stock, so this is one for eBay, but they're around. Other than the John Deere filter all the others are now out of stock anyway.

Bah! At great expense to the management...these don't fit. Correct height, but taper towards the outer diameter and don't even make contact with the top of the filter housing. These bloody things are almost as hard to track down as a freakin' water pump!

Where do you get it Warren?
Are you saying fits inside the standard fuel filter on a Bellett?
If you are, better get me a couple for when I see you next, I only have one spare, I like to keep standard as much as possible!!
