Here's another brochure that has found it's way from Canada; the faint stamp on the front cover showing it is from "Winnipeg CMI", dealers of Toyota, Isuzu and Alfa Romeo! This brochure was printed in Japan, with Japanese people enjoying their left-hand-drive Belletts, but strangely the English seems to make more sense than it does in some of the RHD, English-language brochures! This early model Bellett appears to be the 1965 model; it has the black and blue grille badge rather than the solid black badge. Attachment:

This brochure has lots of pics that spread across the both pages. As a result, I've put a version showing the brochure as it would be viewed, plus some detail scans so you can see the stuff close up. Attachment:

Here's the scoop on the beautiful 1965 Bellett 1500 LHD Deluxe. In fact, the majority of the brochure focuses on the Deluxe which is interesting, as it was certainly not the volume seller here in Australia. Attachment:

Here's some spin from Isuzu about the features of the mighty Bellett! And it's in recognisable English! Attachment:

Here's the interior: Attachment:

This classy interior is reminiscent of the 1964 interiors on the RHD cars. Attachment:

The dashboard on the LHD Deluxe features the Darth Vader-like under-dash heater that was replaced by something less sinister on the later models. Attachment:

More text that makes a strange amount of sense for a Bellett brochure. Of interest is the scale model the Japanese man is toying with on the rear parcel shelf! Cool! Attachment:

The base-model Bellett 1500 sedan, called the "Standard" in this brochure, shows that it was still supplied on a set of nifty set of white walls. Attachment:

Again, another page on the Standard which appears to have also been supplied with a heater as standard equipment. Attachment:

The final page shows the specs page, with metric measurements featuring and imperial measurements in brackets. Attachment:

Another fascinating brochure from the people that brought you the rarest car in the world with the most amount of versions! And brochures!

Hi Dave, I've got a few here and there; haven't really been putting them up in any kind of order, although the ones that are larger are harder to scan! Here's one I've already done for the later 1972 Bellett range: http://www.bellett.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=337

I recognize some of the pictures from other Japanese language brochures. Not a surprise, they used the same images for multiple years of brochures, why not multiple markets...
I can't tell if they have turned the negative backwards to show the steering wheel on the opposite side, or just chose angles that don't show the steering wheel well. The model family is Japanese. It is possible they got good at faking backgrounds decades ago, they are very good at it now. Pre-computer image manipulation was not quick or easy, but was done sometimes pretty well.

That's interesting, as so far the only brochure I've found duplicated was a Dutch brochure that I later bought in Japanese. It makes sense it was Jap-first, as it had RHD, plus a GTR and a Fastback, which as far as I know weren't sold in those markets.
But believe me that's not to say you're wrong!
Ah Belletts... is there any END to their brochures? I mean, about 90% of the scans so far have been mine, and I'm not finished yet.... HOW MANY BROCHURES DO THEY NEED?!??!?!?!

Interestingly, PR91 has mentioned he, too has this brochure, except ALL of the text is different! The English text is Canadian-specific, mentioning certain local rallies and drivers by name and has the specifications in Imperial measurements only.
In the bottom left-hand side of the back page, it is listed as "Catalog NO 51A9 C".
And yet... this brochure is from Canada. I rest my case; how many brochures did they need? The answer? Shitloads. It's starting to look like they printed a different one for each individual car they built...

Maybe your right Pearcy, though it might be a proto type, as it appears the standard, early models only have chrome mirror mounting points on the front guards. (correct me if I'm wrong on that one Dave.) But the cool model in the rear window parcel tray has guard mounted mirrors Could you see Isuzu advertising anything else but themselves ?? Maybe the byproduct of their individality was a hole in the head !! Enjoying the deluxe interior, B.
