 A 'one of everything award'. Now theres an idea!

Sorry fellas, I understand the mixup as I posted under My Isuzu, but its not actually mine.........well not yet. It belongs to a mate here, and he bought it for $1. He is away on holiday, so left it with me to see if its worth fixing. It was only getting 3rd and 4th gear, and the clutch was slipping worse than a worn Hydramatic. The previous owner was starting it each time wth aerostart, which can be dangerous for diesels.
So I put a couple of hours in. The linkage bushes are worn, but I got enough adjustment to get all the gears, even reverse! (Reverse is very handy!) I adjusted the clutch cable, and amazingly it drives without slipping. Tough things these! I probably wouldn't put a tonne on it, but ok.
Now to find a set of glow plugs, and maybe a rearview mirror and sunvisors. They are all tied up with tie wire as they fall down & flop around.

All good fun,
cheers, Matt.

Sometimes I look back over old posts.
That was almost a year ago. I did get those other parts, and it passed rego easily. Steve started up a gardening buisness and uses the Rodeo for it. He built a toolbox into the back and tows a trailer with the mower etc. It just keeps going. One time the bottom radiator hose split and it boiled, but he was only 20 ks from home so pushed on until it stopped. Next day, I found him a hose, he fitted it and filled it with coolant and away it went. It is still earning its keep.
Tough? Yep.
All good fun,
cheers, Matt.

Yeah,
They are great little ute!
I bought a very tidy one back in 1991 to use on the Nepean Dam spillway upgrade project where I worked (and rebuilt Rufus)
It had a 2 liter Gemini petrol engine and sporting the factory baby poo brown paint job. Very reliable but difficult to select reverse. Maybe the linkages were worn.

Sold it to another club member who was into Geminis at the time.

Nice. Much roomier than a Wasp did you notice?
Cheers, Matt.
