Now is the time to commit. Entry to the Nats.closes this month, so.... Again.... WHO IS IN?
I'm not chasing people and holding their hands. If you want to come on an a real adventure to and from Vic to Qld and everywhere in between with your Bellett mates, then it's up to you to let me know and jump on board. If you don't, that's your loss.
I'm going coming hell or high water, whether I'm on my own or in a convoy of 20, and as I know some others won't miss a Nats too, let's see everyone be a real enthusiast and get to Qld in September. sorry Brett, we are out. Can't leave MIL on her own.

PR91 wrote: Well it ain't from lack of trying Geoff...... Maybe you should move to the sunny state then B. At least up here all it takes is for someone to whisper the words " road trip" and we all come flocking like seagulls to a hot chip at a beach picnic. Then we jump in our little beasties (never a trailer to be seen) and avoid all major roads and find any obscure back road that eventually goes the direction we are heading and cruise to our hearts content. We laugh, we eat, we take photos of any bonnet that gets opened, then we laugh again, we race up windy mountain roads, we race down windy mountain roads, we laugh some more, then we stop for an icecream and food, each night we get ajoining motel rooms, drink and laugh some more while sharing a communal feast together. Did I mention the laughing and eating? We do a little bit of that.... The laughing and eating only stops once we've cruised full circle. Then we all embrace and cry (quite literally) But then someone whispers....... " road trip" ......and it's all on again Live the dream people. The responsibilities of life are still going to be there when you get home...... waiting patiently, they're never going to go away..... so make em wait for you to get back from your GLORIOUS ROAD TRIP

Now that is an inspiration! Stickman, you said it, and you nailed it.
We (being my clan, and Gary Carter) are most definately in. Now, Rhys will be driving, so we are only doing 90ks tops, but we can catch up at stops if people need to travel faster. I have found though, that Florians and Belletts are way quieter at 90 than 100, so the radio is easier to hear! If we can link up with those from the south as they come through, then that will be great. Hopefully there will be a contingent from the west to join in someplace.
People will be along, once they get their stuff sorted. They are too smart to miss out! Cheers, Matt.

Cheers, Matt. must be a trait of them, all my Belletts were much nicer at 90 than 100 also. The Sport follows the same tradition.

Matt..... Those from the south? I'm guessing u mean just me..... Possibly a last minute rush? Grant not going? And Gav? Surely Gav! And Steve and Peggy? And Kerry and Anne-Marie? And Gricey and Cheryl, they're all south of here. Probably Gary and Monn will come through this way too. Dennis and Marg are booked, so we need to go through and collect them. I reckon there will be a Road trip! Matt.

Grant..... ? Says so, but again.....? And highly doubt he'll drive if so anyway. Gav..... No. S & P..... Assume so, but you'll know more than me. K & A-M..... ? G & C..... Last I heard was yes, but haven't heard in a while.
So confirmed as of now...... Me. And is cool with me if it's a Smith family convoy, as long as I'm an honorary Smithy for the trip.

PR91. To be an honorary Smithy you will have to start working on a good beard. I'm toying with the idea of meeting up with the convoy on the Thursday morning somewhere between Warwick and Toowoomba or any other direction that has been decided. Just to give it a bit of a QUEENSLANDER touch. I reckon the more the merrier. If you keep us posted on the journey it might happen. Dave.

Meet the road train down south a bit (northern NSW somewhere) and cruise back north with them. Might be a little preoccupied helping with last minute setting up though to be able to do that??

OK, so just how many are coming, my triple Webered Falcon will have to sub as a Bellett for me, but I will certainly be with you all in spirit.
What day are you all likely to arrive, I will be at the Toowoomba Showgrounds everyday from the 19th September to the 27th from 10am till 4pm each day, hope to share as much time with you outside these ours as I can.
If anyone arrives early and wishes to drop in and say g'day, please feel welcome.
I can be contacted on my home phone 4638 0397, leave a message if I am unable to answer.
Look forward to seeing everyone and showing my son what a Bellett is.
Ted

Hi Guys and Gals, What is the itinerary ? I can't make the Nats, but will be in Brisbane (Nathan) on Friday the 2nd, travelling up from the Central Coast NSW that day, and heading south again on Saturday. I will keep an eye out for stragglers.

Howdy everyone, here is a suggestion for the northern migration. After speaking to PR91and BembokaBB, this might be a plan. If you all arrive here on Monday, that will be great. We can't leave until Wednesday though, even though its school hols, Tracy is still teaching. She has a HSC class to get over the line. So if you were to go on to Mudgee to pick up DaveM and stay at Dennis on Tuesday that would be about 400ks. You could then go on through Coolah, Premer, to Werris Creek, and pick up the New England hwy at Tamworth. Staying at Armidale would be about 400ks, and would leave 400 odd to go to Toowoomba. We could get an early start on Wednesday and catch up to you at Armidale, then travel together on Thursday. I know that some are coming from Sydney, and they may want to join in somewhere along the way. (Need to make a few calls). Hopefully brother Greg might come across to Warwick and bring brother Chris and we can run the last 84ks together. Would be great to have all the broths together, doesnt happen very often.
Ted, it will be great to see you again. If we follow the above plan I could see us arriving early arvo Thursday 24th. Warren, the Nats are Friday 25th to Monday 28th. We will actually be home on 30th, all being well.
All imputs welcomed, Cheers, Matt.
