Found this inside oil filter on the deluxe any ideas where it's come from? Gudgeon pin clip?

Or second thoughts does it hold the spring an washer in place on the oil filter bolt?

Yep jumped the gun an panicked. Took Betty's off to check. Looks like it was never put on correctly as the spring an washers dropped straight off when I undone it. Now just need to hunt down some new filters
