Apart from my many other projects , I shall now officially announce another one ! (some of you already know ) . I am building the worlds first and only Isuzu Gemini type R . ( stand back & watch the forums go wild !!! ) I picked up for nothing , a gemini rally car with the idea of rust repairs , use it once & sell it . THE RUST !!! I drove it onto the trailer , but there was no floor under my feet . everytime I jacked it up , bits of gemini fell to the ground . So now it's a reshell - too much money being spent so now I'll have to keep it . Another shell was found - paid the princely sum of 1 x 5 bearing Bellett motor & 1x GT gearbox ( too much ?? ) cage is in, interior painted, & is now with the painter getting the exterioir done The motor ( a "hotty " I built in 1992 ) is being re-repaired 16 superlites sourced & big brakes being worked on . If it wasn't for friends , I couldn't afford to do all this . Thank you all .

I tried to scan the original car , but it ended up as a PDF file ??? Just click the attachment & you'll see the car in the 1998 Rally of Melbourne - Healesville sportsground special stage . I was 2nd Sweep car ( Last car in the field - road closed in front of me , road open behind . ) & I cocked up the corner, much to the amusement of the crowd !! A lot of fun tho'.

Finally , the weather was right , the painter had time , all the stars were aligned - there has been some progess . Next week end , hopefully the satin black goes on .

Progress is too slow . Brakes are on , Bellett horns are wired in , heater/demister works .

The motor & gearbox now in - I had nothing else to do on Anzac day long week-end . Front & rear windscreens had to go in as it now resides outdoors during the day - there are too many tyres in the shed .

Not much has happened to the Gem - Brakes only need front pads to work . I now have my 14x7" superlites - much easier to push in & out of the shop now . I got them a little cheaper 'cos they were unclaimed orders - they may also fit my Belletts !
