Guys,
I have found a suitable after market sender to work with the Yazaki oil pressure gauge in the GT.
Do not buy the genuine Toyota part as it will cost you the price of another car!! Well not really but 4 times the price of this part below.

The part is a Sankei part made in Japan to work with Yazaki gauges, I have fitted one to my GT and works well.
Sankei Part No, KG-812 83520 55011, it is to suit Toyota Hi Lux around the 1990's diesel engine.
$57.40 free postage on eBay.

Mine was leaking oil, I googled the problem and came up with this part, mine came from Brisbane, however I believe they are also available from Melbourne.

I hope this assists "someone" out there in Bellett world as I was concerned I would not find a suitable part, in fact I have asked the question on here and no one came up with an alternative to the genuine part.
Dave Maurice.

Hi Glenn, No that one is for Landcruiser, I will email you where I bought mine. Tom bought the Landcruiser one and it reads but the oil pressure is lower that it should be, (probably due the Landcruiser being 6 cylinder) I will also take a photo of where my oil pressure gauge sits now when I am out next time later this coming week.

Hi Dave
I think my oil pressure sender has given up the ghost completely (previously was somewhat intermittent...), so I reckon I need to purchase a replacement as you have. Any chance you could also let me know the seller in Brisbane? Thanks in advance and thanks for doing the research on a successful replacement part!
Cheers, Paul.

Sorry Paul, I have been a bit busy.
Make sure you DO NOT buy the Landcruiser sender, reads less pressure. With the new part my pressure gauge now reads correctly.
The sender is to suit Hi Lux Yazaki gauge, read my previous message where I quoted the psrt number. I am not home right now, however when I return, I will photograph the box it came in, it is from a 4X4 Co located when I googled the problem.
Dave.

Thanks Dave and Glenn - I've just ordered the unit for Hilux part number 83520-55011 from the Melbourne 4x4world supplier. Hopefully it arrives end of the week so I can fit on the weekend and go for a spin. Thanks again Dave for the groundwork on finding this replacement part!

Yes Flying, the engine has at last been fixed - took a few years to save the dosh to have it rebuilt by our expert over the border in enemy territory. Have had it out and about a bit since I brought it back to SA - about 3500+ miles in fact. Driving down to work in beautiful McLaren Vale racks up a few miles... And if anyone is still unsure (that means you PR91), McLaren Vale still makes the best reds in Oz (except maybe Pinot, but that's expensive).

Plans are in progress to finally show up at a nationals with a car again.

Cheers everyone.
