Long wheel base wasp ute from Spring Ridge, NSW

Firstly thanks to Paula, Andrew and especially little Syd from Spring Ridge NSW for allowing Wendy and I to purchase this ute yesterday. It originated from a local guy many years ago and procured by Andrew's dad to use the motor in another car. However, Andrew got it going and used it as a farm ute in his teenage years. After a 4wd came along, the Wasp got relegated up the hill among some very prestigious Australian and overseas vehicles in retirement amongst the native pine trees. There's some history to be seen in that part of their forest. Wendy and I drove the 8 hours down from Queensland to pickup a "box of spare parts" for Warrens little black wasp and Peters yellow signwritter ute, not realising what it truely was until it was been washed down the next morning. After calling Warren (who had owned a long wheel based wasp in the past) to check on some different things like the wheel base lenght, etc. the light bulb came on above our heads and there was a distinct sound of the microwave ending its cooking program, ,,,,,,,,,"ding". So without further ado here is another long wheel based wasp ute in Australia. PS. I would have called guru farmer at the wasps nest but you don't take day calls

The drivers door came off a deluxe somewhere along its timeline, noting the filled holes where once was the clips to hold the trim.

Long wheelbase! Woo hoo! What an absolute beauty. Looks pretty complete, even the reversing light which only needs a lens. None of mine have one of those. And not very rusty looking, the floor must be sound, 'cause all the gunge hasn't fallen through. Hang on, its Farmer's ute?? Oh, its a farmer's ute. Yep, some improvised repairs there. So, good going, Wasp number 3. That matches the Bembokabellettbloke. Most exciting next step is to fire him up and see how he goes. Thanks for showing, Cheers, Matt.

I thought there was more than three?
Warren had one but it went bye bye to the tip eons ago.
You have one at the wasp nest.
Bembloke has one, yes?
Now this one.
I thought there was another few, someone said???

Yeah, thats all pretty correct to my knowledge, but I don't know of the 'others'. The broth has one from Bairnsdale, and formerly Boorowa (!), mine came from Eugowra, and yours. Warren's became Ted Freeman's "Hornmobile", which I bought in 1983 or so, then sold to Dave G in 1988. (To help buy our first home.) Its long gone.
Wasps are pretty rare, lwb ones are rarer than Florians!
Cheers, Matt.

I'll have to change my last name to "Smith" when talking about the LWBW. Next step is to create a nickname for her/him?.
