Gav and myself decided a year ago to do the whole Vic hillclimb champs this year, with Gav in his Hillman Hunter and myself in the yellow Bellett. Gav was in "Historic Group N under 2000cc" while I was in "Sports Sedan 1600cc - 2000cc". At seasons end after 6 rounds, we both ended up with a 2nd in class overall, with a close battle in our respective classes til the end. Gav's class was won by a really quick Mini Cooper S, and mine was taken out by the reigning champ in a potent Datsun 1600, but we both made these guys race harder than ever to earn the win after we both beat them on a couple of occasions. Presentation night was a couple of weeks ago, and we both went home with a nice trophy each, and to my complete surprise, I was also awarded the "Peter Stoddart Memorial Award" for competitor of the year. Both cars got better as the season went on and are now quicker than ever, so next year (which actually starts in Nov this year....), we're both making improvements for the win.

It gets a hard enuf time. Will go better again next year too. Not on insta and have no intention of doing so. Had been a few things on FB, but only for friends to see. And mods I do are something I just do for myself. Cheers for the replies guys.
