Mark down Aug 5 & 6 2016 as a MUST for Winton. Not only is it a huge historic racing festival, but after talks with "the authority", Isuzu will be honoured as the feature to celebrate 100 years and being Japans oldest car maker. Display parking, free passes and display laps of the track on both days is even more reason to be there. With this still 6 months away, surely there's enuf time for any Isuzu head to organise things, and I also extend this invite to any and all interstate enthusiasts who want to join in. Plz let me know your EOI and I'll keep you info'd as we go along. Cheers.

Interested Plan would be drive a Isuzu to Winton raceway enjoy the weekend drive Isuzu to Albury and put it in storage and fly home. Road trip to nats as planned in Oct as Liz was thinking of taking 1 to the nats anyway. The drive both cars home Finding storage in Albury you trust would be the issue

Sounds like a plan to me mate. Albury storage is already on the cards for at least one here too coz 4 - 5 are a bit difficult to drive at once a month or so later.....

If ya need one driven to Albury...... I could fly down for the weekend, drive one to the Winton event for ya, then take to Albury for " storage" with Mr Orphanage n Lizzie and then fly home again with them ....... or even drive it back to yours then fly home from there

Thanks anyway Geoff, but likely that the one left in Albury will be trailered as it probably has an appointment in Sydney a few weeks after the Nats.... So it makes sense to leave it there twice and dragging it all over the map only once instead of 3 times.

BUMP. EOI's are needed folks for passes and possible accommodation. No promises yet on accom tho. Free passes will only be for members who bring a car to the event, so if you're not a member or aren't bringing a car, sorry..... That's the deal. Plz let me know ASAP.

Bellett Car Club of Vic and Gippsland Gemini Owners Car Club jointly won the award for Best Display at Winton yesterday. We had a massive variety of cars with no 2 the same across 14 cars, so it looked impressive and represented the huge amount of different Isuzu built cars in Australia.

That's awesome! Would have loved to have been able to do this event but other commitments didn't allow. It is on my bucket list for next year though Did anyone get pics to tease us with?

What a week-end ! Isuzus' everywhere . In the carpark , on the track & in my shed . The weather was perfect- the only downside was I didn't sell much . ( I should've brought a car - not work ) Brett should be applauded for his work in getting some cars in - I'm sick of seeing the same car clubs on display .

Gav appeared to have a good time - You could just see a smile thru his "Captain Risky " beard all week-end . He competed in the regularity with a diverse selection of cars . He didn't disgrace himself - check the car he is keeping up with (lap after lap ). I found out today the Porsche has a 2.4 litre motor ! There must be a couple of hundred thousand dollars difference between the two cars . It's a pity we didn't the in-car camera - chasing down a 356 has to be better than chasing Austin A35 at Castle Coombe. ( sorry PomBellett ! )

Thanks for the pics I LOVE Brett's blue deluxe....... If only he'd (orig owner that is) agree to sell it to someone out of VIC at least it went to a really good home. Was awesome to see it in QUEENSLAND for last years Nats in Toowoomba though
