PR91 wrote: Still a big $$$ car because a complete, all steel, unchopped, unchannelled Aus body is worth more than any hacked up US one. And you should see the stuff that's with it.... In original Ford boxes. Not really true Brett. As a restored car, they cost a lot to restore. Granted, it appears to be mostly there, which helps. As basis for a Hotrod, USA bodies are preferred by far and worth more. The real problem with these old bodies is you can buy a brand new Steel body out of the USA, cheaper than what it costs to panel beat etc etc an original. The most popular car of the period is the 32 Ford, coupe or roadster... a new body runs about $20,000. Sounds a lot, until you ask a panel beater (if you can find one prepared to do it) how much to restore an original. An dof course, buy the original to repair/restore or whatever you want to do with it.

Only because it requires no extra space for all the parts that you get when dismantling and repairing a car. I got a quote to get somebody to take it and finish it off for me. Essentially prep and paint, upholstery, and put back together. Looking in the realm of $45k !

Its more than all there..... Enough stuff to build 2 and still have leftovers. Ever seen a brand new 34 grille, still in its wrapping paper? How about 2 sets of guards....? All new. Every little piece of trim and chrome? It just went on and on and on. Body is immaculate. One little spot of rust. And almost dead straight. Someone put the rough coat of black over it before 1969 but the original blue is still under it. Amazing really considering its 82 years old. Will be a very nice car when done.

Has been his dream for 47 years. looks like it may have updated brakes. A common 'mod' was to fit 40 Ford juice brakes and wheels to these models. The 'proper' wheels are the wires he has as a spare
