Any announcement on where next year's location? Yeah mate, announcament was made at the dinner. Mudgee NSW next year. DaveM, Julie and some mates will be doing the organising. I expect Dave (1968GT) will make a thread on it pretty soon. Accommodation place is selected, but I don't want to get it wrong, so I will wait for the details to appear. It will be important to book early though as Mudgee is a popular place in particularly in the spring. This years Nats have been a spectacular success, even with the wet weather. Some localised flooding caused a minor detour yesterday, but no problems. The Murray is FULL though, with some sandbagging around Wodonga. Gricey and Cheryl, particularly Cheryl as Gricey pointed out deserved and received 3 cheers for a fantastic result. It is a HUGE job. My family cleaned up in the raffle again, especially Milli who is bringing home 3 more stuffed animals! (I know, non-car prizes!) I got a shiny new Isuzu MU-X, a coffee-gold one, so I'm pretty stoked. Matt.

What a weekend, wet, wild and fun. Many thanks to the Grice family for the hospitality and superb orginisation. We have started planning already. Mt Isa went out the window as soon as Mudgee was anounced. Raena loves her "new" MU-X it is sitting in pride of place in a display window. The colour is actually Spanish Brown. Will be booking site tommorrow.

The farmer family is now home safe and sound. Rhys came home a day early to begin studdies fir his HSC exams. Shrek went fine, with no overheating problems like we had on the way down. Guess I need a new thermostat. Aunty mary had no problems, despite being loaded up with loot from the raffle. I took a heap of photos, so will gradually post them in a Nationals thread. So many beautiful cars! Thank you to everyone. You all make it the success that it is. Matt.

To everyone who was in Albury, my apologies I didn't join in on Sunday night or all day Monday, or catch up with anyone before it was over.... This is how my weekend ended tho, but with help of Carol and Russell (who I can't thank enough) and my family, I'm home again and will be OK in a few days. Attachment:

Holly sh..t Brother How did that happen?? Never seen you like that before. Did you get into some sort of pub fight?? Great you are on the mend. Don't know where to start, it's all a bit emotional now. Firstly BIG BIG HUG to Sherryl and the Sherriff for opening up their hearts and thier homes It has been an adventure of epic proportions. Weather could not stop the irrepresible power of ISUZU. I was a winner just for "getting over the line", being there, and sharing a massive weekend with all you amazing people. Didn't want it to stop. Drove Beastie home down through the freeway tunnels with George (Flying) into Adelaide with a tear in my eye. Thanks and Ciao BIG TIME to everyone. Also some photos to follow, Broom Broom, B

I didn't want to leave but I guess all good things come to an end eventually they still had to force me into the car though. 6pm Sunday night and I'm back home again with a mostly incident free return trip. Other then one rear tyre being destroyed by a pothole and the indicator lights shorting out (aftermath from the Galah incident I think, must have damaged a wire) the trip was another smooth fang back up the road. Massive thanks to Jim and Cheryl for a fantastic Nationals and huge hugs and kisses for the extra week of hospitality, I had a ball. See you both again at the end of the year xo Bring on Mudgee!!!

Hi everyone,
The following week after the Nationals was full of more fun as we enjoyed activities such as shopping, cinema, a car show at MAMA, movies, dinners out, Jim's birthday party and Bathurst; and finally some clear sunny days up to 25. The last Bellett headed home yesterday, in the cold and rain once again, and Jim and I weren't sure about the quiet that settled over the house last night. We missed the fun and laughter when everyone was here. A BIG THANKYOU to everyone who came to Albury and helped make the 2016 Nationals the success it was. We hope everyone had a fabulous time and lots of fun. As usual the rain, floods, wind, cold etc couldn't dampen the spirits of Isuzu owners as we ventured forth into the elements of nature and made the most of each day.
We love the photos and travel stories and hope everyone had a good, safe trip home.
We are now looking forward to Mudgee in 2017. Please support Dave, Julie and the Sydney organisers and book everything early. It makes the job so much easier if you all book in advance. Jim and I have booked today as we didn't want to miss out on the great prices on offer for early bookings at the Active Holiday Big 4 Tourist Park.
Next is Classic Yass. We look forward to seeing some of you there.
Cheryl and Jim. xxx

Got home yesterday. Mine was the last car out of Albury. We were supposed to watch the race on Sunday. We did. The start. A few bits in the middle. Snippetts in the arvo and the last 12 laps. The rest of the time we were down scrounging bits for Gricey's Orange GT. Should look good for next year. I was away from home for close on 4 weeks. Took me 2 weeks to get there and 2.5 days to get home. Rain wasn't an issue. Thoroughly enjoyed every bit of the Nationals. Hats off to Jim and Cheryl. Every year the Nationals get bigger. A big job for 1 or 2 people to conduct it. Well done both of you. The week after was also a highlight. Movies. "The Magnificent Seven". No talking while the show is on. Otherwise you cop an earfull from a deaf person. The show and shine in the park in Albury attracted quiet a few different cars. People coming up and asking questions. Happy also to talk about their own cars. There was even a 'Red Racer' there. FERRARI. Thank you Jim and Cheryl for your hospitality. Well and truly enjoyed my stay at your home. Dave.

Well..... To be accurate, not all the Belletts that attended have left yet, even a month later. One is on its way home now as I write this, and theres still another one and a solitary Wasp to go.
