We are saddened by the passing of a very long standing enthusiast for Belletts and a member of ICCA for many years, ex President I believe, Geoff Pearce.
Geoff passed away this morning.

To all Geoff's family and friends, ICCA and the Bellett community send their most sincere condolences.
Dave M.

Yet another taken too soon.

Condolences to all family and friends.

I have known Geoff i would say all my life.
I still remember riding my pushbike to his house during my pre-Learner's days to get ideas and advise on race spec Bellett
it still only seems like yesterday.

It is extremely sad news.

please keep us updated.

Cheers Kev.

Dear me, this is a shock. I would say that he would be younger than me, I remember him helping out Ted at Graystanes back when I first had my licence and went to Ted for repairs I couldn't handle. Geoff lived across the road.
I know that he became a very active club member and did a lot of racing.
Very sad news, thanks for letting us know Dave.
Matt.

That is very sad news to hear.
I knew Geoff from the Sydney club days when he was actively racing in his sports sedan.

I pass in my condolences to his family and friends also.
Regards,
Lewis. Bolton.

I honestly don't know how to respond to this, when I heard Peter Degnan had passed away I was shocked, but to hear of young Geoff departing this world is unthinkable, Geoff was only twelve (if I recall correctly) when he started helping me with my Belletts, living straight across the street in Greystanes, Western Sydney, he and Debbie were regulars at my place and Geoffs name graced the side of the "Screamin' Squirrell" as its Pit Crew.

It bewilders me that I am still here (having just turned 70) yet some of these young whippersnappers are going by the way much to early.

It has only been over the last few years that I have managed to re-ignite some long lost friendships, friendships that really never should have been broken, to hear of friends passing, especially younger ones is a devastating feeling, life can be full of enjoyment (my time as a Bellett Car Club member and current reincarnation to Belletts being a standout), but we all face the inevitable, Geoff has found the inevitable way to early, may his memory stay in the hearts and thoughts of fellow Belletters as an eternal honouring of a great friend.

Distance and health is somewhat of a barrier in todays world, but my thoughts and feelings are with Geoff's family (who I really have no idea if he has his own children left behind), I do know that my thoughts go to Debbie, another credit to the club throughout the years.

I know as we get to the far end of this life that we all must depart, just please make sure its not too early as Geoff's obviously is.

We will meet again and race Belletts and work together one of these days, but I should have been waiting for you - not vice versa!

Signed in tears and sadness
Ted

To those that wish to attend Geoff's farewell details below;

Friday 31st March.
Pine Grove Cemetery, Minchinbury. 1130 am at the chapel for 1200noon start.
After the service, the Wake is to be confirmed, however at this time is at the Kingswood Bowling Club, no doubt confirmation will occur at Pinegrove or before hand.
If anyone has their Bellett's ready, maybe you could take them along, just a thought.
RIP Geoffrey!
Dave M.

I never met or spoke to Geoff, but I'm always saddened to hear when a Bellett enthusiast is taken from us; there aren't enough of us for that kind of thing to happen.

At least four of us have shuffled off since Bellett.net opened its doors a few years back; let's hope that's the last for a (long, long) while.

Vale Bellett brother!

Dave

I would like to thank everyone for their kind thoughts. Geoff would have been so humbled, knowing he had so many friends.
