A few of us made the short trip to Jell's Park in Melb last Sunday. Glorious weather, warm but not hot.
The park was preparing for Carols by Candleight that night and was pretty crowded but we got a parking spot near the entry gate ok.
Just the 3 of us, Peter, Barrie and myself in Belletts. Brett R. also came along. Good to see a few Belletts out again in the BCCV. Hopefully many more in the new year.
Nice to see the 3 variations of body styles together.
Peter B's sedan is the ex Greg L. car, and just got it's H plates a few days before.

Good to see that cars are out and about.
So to further enhance knowledge gained from that all so brief visit to the Echuca Nationals.
I did manage about 2 hours talking or was it listening lol, once there, with 6 hours driving on the Sunday to make it happen.
What model variant is the middle car in the three pictured?
A GT I assume, but I can't attest to having realised or noted that there was a coupe body modeled with a sedan rear window pillar styling.
I am see that correctly yes?
I have client that buys and sells all sorts of historic cars and i have asked him to research GT availability.
Knowing what I am seeing in this picture there will help me with this process.
I look forward to some feedback.
Cheers
Steve

2 door sedan. Commonly referred to as a Bellett Sport. Sedan is a 4 door, either standard or deluxe spec. GT is always a GT with the different roofline. So while any clown can fake a Falcon GT, a Bellett GT can't be faked. Sport is a sedan body with GT doors, rear quarters and running gear. Combination of deluxe sedan and GT interior. Not sold here new. There's 3 on Australia, all private import.

Steve. as Brett has indicated, my car is a Bellett "Sport" model. Its a 1972 model, runs a SOHC 1800cc engine with twin "SU" style carbies and all the bits that a GT has. Disk brakes, full guages, different steering wheel etc. Being a late model, it has the appropriate tail lights and grille. Both a bit on ugly side ! Lots of little differences also compared to earlier models.
There is also a non "Sport" version of this body style. One of the three of this style in Oz is a deluxe model with 1600cc engine. The 3rd is also a Sport but is not going. Needs work.
