Hi Guys
Still here
Really sorry to hear of the wide spread and all ensuing drought on the big island
Tassie is having the coldest, wettest and longest winter ever IMHO
I have started the Belletts only once and not ventured out into the streets
Take care
J

Yeah, not here often enough. How come life is so busy? Must be too many options!
My priority this week is getting Milli's Beetle on the road, finally. Picked it up today after full motor and brake rebuild, new battery and set of tyres. Thankfully theres no cooling system to overhaul! I can't add a pic because my tablet chucked it in. I need a new one before the Nats.
The goats start kidding any day, so I will be back to milking soon. Guess I'll just have to get up earlier!
And yeah J, its been dry. We are luckier than many and have had showers, but feed is very scarce.
Stay well and I will see you all at the Nats. Won't I?
Cheers, Matt.

Wow! 8 months since posting in this space.
So, the drought continues, I'm feeding goats, and we have had the hottest summer on record. Finally cooling down though, so it's time to fire up the chainsaws.

And the wood splitter. I see you have the lad home to help. Can be cool at your place during the winter.
How long will the wood last gauging on previous years.?

Dave.

It's a pretty substantial tree Dave, as you can see the trunk is taller than the Wasps bonnet. We were 3 hours with 2 saws and 5 litres of fuel and still not into the trunk. There is at least a Winter's wood there. We cut a small dead one too, there 2 month's heat there! And a big old fallen yellow box branch which has been down over 25 years. We'll have to split it up to let it dry out, but there's a couple of months burning there in a year or two. Productive day!
Cheers, Matt.

Hi Matt

Shrek is great

The Tray still looks like its convex not concave due to the weight, what an effort

Cheers Flying

Yeah mate, it is a bit curved! That tray isn't original, it's been home made with a stick welder, a long time ago. There is Masonite over the boards to keep them together. It has some of the welded on bolts for sideboard mounts left, but some have pulled out. There are a few rust holes in the perimeter.
I have a good tray that I want to fit sometime, but this one isn't used up yet!
I like Shrek a lot. I turn the key and he goes. I chuck stuff on there and he hauls it. The big old branch was hung up over the fence, I put 2 chains with a tyre in between and drove away. He dragged it. Who needs a Hilux?
:D Matt.

Love the getting ready for winter photo Matt, went to a small get together, coffee and cars few weeks ago, the Bellett got more looks than the yellow one, as Donkey said "Those yellow plastic junk Italian ponies are a dime a dozen compared to a Bellett"

Notice how those sort of cars always have to park in 2 spaces?

Yeah, that seems to happen. Something about being cashed up not necessarily delivering driving ability?
;)
