Well I never. Last time I saw that car I thought that it was at its final resting place. Many a Bellett enthusiast has procured parts off of it. Myself included. I would be very interested in the restoration of the car that it is being restored. Good on ya Matty. Well done.
Dave.

Here's a few pics of when Joe and I first saw it.

I didn’t actually see the one being restored. I think it was down the back corner of the panel shop and I only went into the office. I only noticed it when I pullled into the car park. The shop owner said the rear panel was going to be cut off it to use.

Ha Haaaa, there are eyes everywhere! A GT cannot be moved without someone spotting it. Nice one Rod. Yeah, after donating bits to a few other GTs, and a sedan, poor old rusty is providing panels for a fairly major repair. When asked about it, I thought, well it's going to save another car? Hey, that's like organ donation, it's a no brainer! Quite a few people have checked it out over the years, all with the same conclusion - too far gone.
It's interesting looking at your pics Dave, all the glass, the dash, steering wheel, still in place. But when I see cars at the Nationals that contain parts, I just feel good. A conversation with you in 2008 at the Nationals is the reason I went looking for this car, only to find a Wasp, a sedan, and 2 other GTs with it. (All of which eventually found their way into Smith sheds.)
Nothing will be wasted, the shell may well come back, in case it might provide more bits. Well spotted. Cheers, Matt.
