That will be Gary Carter! I showed him & he is very keen, but as he doesn't use a computer I'll have to keep him in the loop. All being well he will have it at Coonabarrabran for all to see & ride in. Would make me too as I'll get lots of rides! (He now lives in Rye Park as well.) Thanks for not bidding! Cheers, Matt.

I have to say we were a little dissapointed not to get the car. Our lonely bid sat there all week with no competition untill the last 10 seconds, when someone snatched it away. Shows up my lack of experience in bidding! But all's fair in Ebayworld. Gary was having a cataract removed at the time & so was unable to watch the sale. He's home now & all is well. Tonight we had the Rye Park Hall "Sale of gifts" fundraiser. People do lots of baking & donate it to the Hall to Auction. I bought about $150 worth of cakes to console myself - should last all week! Gary was even able to buy Gluten free consolers. No malicious thoughts to whoever bought the car - Please show & tell. Cheers, Matt.

ohh well.... i'm a believer in fate/destiny/whatever u want to call it. things come, things go, but gary didnt get the car because there's another out there with his name on it! just got to find it first.... i felt a bit the same with the 1st GT i chased.... was advertised 3 years earlier, but never heard any more of it. went to see the owner.... had missed it by 6 weeks.... it sat there for over 2.5 years with no interest.... so i ended up with the one i have now. sure, the 1st one was on the road, while my one needed a full resto, but after all the blood, sweat and tears, i'm very happy with how the whole 'operation GT' went. again, it was just meant to be. and the 1st GT is till alive and well, which is good news too. hope we see who the lucky florian bidder was. and, matt, pass on our thoughts to gary as well mate. hope he's on the mend soon!

Yeah good luck to Gary re: cataracts.
I sent a private message to the seller for them to mention "bellett.net" to the new owner and they said they'd pass it on.
