the last one on ebay we paid under $200 for the lot thanks to mat it cost us a extra $20 there is one close to us for $800 with gearbox and downdrought webbers. I did a compression test on as it had a miss on number 2. people think they are hard to get but they are not that rare and the myth is you wont get parts for them you can get most parts.

In their hey day you could buy them from East Keiler Wreckers for about $500. As Greg said we paid $187 for Motor and Gearbox a month ago and i think that if you cant hear them running that is what they are worth, will cost at least another $400 just to get it to run.

It certainly would give Bella the look and feel of a GTS Will definitely keep that engine in mind. However a few things need to be cleaned up after the last month before I'd be allowed to have a new engine anyway Cheers Rob

VRS kits are available still available we rebuilt a engine only a few weeks ago. rings, bearings ect are gemini. pistons are not so easy.sump gaskets are not avialable. i do agree you dont want to pay $1500 for a smokey and you still have to inject it or find/make manifolds if you go twin carbs. so now we have $2500 smokey .
